IN CHARACTER
I refuse to essay in this section. The short of it! Jesse still has an ongoing love/hate relationship with camp. He has realized that he now actually cares about people and things and this leads to him getting somewhat more emotional and attached. The brain slug incident from last week only helped him realize how much he'd shifted over the last few months - when he doesn't completely block things out and pretend like he doesn't care, he's more of a hot mess but less of a complete and utter dick over all. It's hard for him because it's new territory! It's scary, in some respects, and that's just not something he wants to admit ever.
But he's making friends and learning how to be social and actually give two craps without it being a Big Thing. Balance is starting to come back to Jesse's life! He feels more capable of balancing the side of him that wants things like, you know, friends and people who he loves and love him and "mushy-gushy" stuff like that with the side of him that is a cutthroat performer who gets what he wants. It's still a process. He's learning. Jesse isn't happy, but he isn't losing it, either.
OUT OF CHARACTER
STILL LOVE PLAYING JESSE, he gets about 2k comments per month. That's a little ridiculous. I feel good with him all in all! He's developed a lot since I apped him back at the end of April and he's still growing. It's fun, particularly since I didn't see over half of this coming. It's been an adventure. There are vague plans for things, but I honestly have no idea what's going to happen with him and I love it. It helps that his canon is insane, so I get to do a lot of stupid and ridiculous things with him occasionally.
Also, I adore Jesse's CR and the fact that I'm getting to play with all of these people that I've wanted to play with for ages. He has so many relationships, I don't even know where to start, heh. CURRENTLY, he is on the outs with Parker and that has been a blast to play, and I like what's been going on with his friendship with Vanya. And I have several other people that I need to tag again and. ♥

... Yeah, I'm totally covering him through 2011 next month. Jesse is my go-to character, and it shows. I am a little surprised that I'm still playing him all over - by six months, I usually burn out on a character and I currently have a love/hate relationship with his canon, but at seven+ months, Jesse is still fun.

OUT OF CHARACTER
SO I REAPPED HIM because I wanted a nice boy in contrast with my, erm, more arrogant and dickish one. And then I just never felt like playing him. I have been wondering off and on if reapping him was really a smart idea, and this has basically cemented with me the fact that I probably shouldn't reapp anymore. Oh well! My problem isn't that I don't feel comfortable - I just don't feel like playing him. I'll try to muster up the energy to reread parts of his canon / other stuff with him and see if that relights the spark.

Iwasawa [comatomywindow]
IN CHARACTER
Slowly adjusting to camp life. It's strange to her! Not that different from the afterlife, but still strange. She forgets that it's a completely different world at times, and it's a bit strange to have to explain the whole "lol dead" thing to some people, but she's managing. Iwasawa is very zen in general and views camp as a place to get a bit more writing done before she moves on. Right now, she's focusing on her music (as always) and seeing if her songs can reach a few more people before it's finally time for her to really move on.
On a side note! Camp is really interesting to her because she's realized that she can get exposed to all this music that she may have never been able to hear in her own world or the afterlife! So it's now a bit ... exciting? to her. There's more there than just "oh, it's another place where I am quasi-alive, huh." Consider her intrigued.
OUT OF CHARACTER
I love her. I was telling paralysing this last night, but she's the opposite of Jesse in many respects play-wise, which makes her ridiculously nice for me. I feel really bad at times because her responses are so short and to the point and I've been trying to put in slightly more descriptive action tags to make up for that, erm, but it's great for me to have a character that is like that and not loud and all over the place. Iwasawa is quiet and does her own thing! It's pretty sweet. As a bonus, I've been wanting to app a girl for ... years (I've played mostly guys since 2005. sausage fest line-up), and Iwasawa hits everything that I love in a character.

She will never be a spammer! It will take her ages to hit 1k, even! I'm okay with that. I feel settled with her. She definitely takes more energy and thought than Jesse does at times, but it's a nice contrast. I had a lot of fun in her post last night. Also, I have a ridiculously awesome cast. Why would I drop.
THE PLAYER
So. I have Jesse and Iwasawa who are both perfect for me, because Jesse fulfills most of my needs and Iwasawa provides a lovely contrast to him. They are nice and comfortable and I feel at ease and on with both! I have plans with them! I'm able to play with so many new people, it's wonderful. Glee cast has been great, Angel Beats! cast is ridiculously lovely, and I am seriously really happy with both. And then there's Sakuraba, who is just there and I don't really feel like playing, and that's a problem that isn't really ... easy to fix. Eh. I have one more app planned and then I'm done for a little bit, which is nice. I've been a little inactive over the past couple weeks due to some really nasty work crap, but that is over and done with and I am feeling it again. ♥
ENOUGH OF THAT. I am chilling for the day, Iwasawa has been getting settled while Jesse sped past 14k recently, aaand I saw this meme going around earlier in the week. I finally finished the communal relationship meme, so I can do this, okay.
