vet's prognosis
It could be coffin bone problems, but most likely, it's an abcess. I can't believe it. None of us can. He packed that leg around for SIX DAYS, and would not put any weight on it. Why so long? He wasn't exactly catcheable.
So tomorrow we trim up the foot an dstart soaking - his hoof is hard as cement so she couldn't pare down to find the abcess, but we're seeing marks that indicate where it's trying to come out, and...well, well...
I'm beyond relieved, and man, I hope that's what it is.
In other news, I really, REALLY like this new vet we have in cattle country.
