The waiting game...

I managed to not only walk up to sprout last night, but catch him today. He's now in a stall, and we've a call into the vet. don't know if she'll come here or we'll trailer to her, but he'll see a vet today or tomorrow - as soon as she's available. I've decided it's an abcess and he'll be fine. Wishful thinking... it actually looks like he tore the tendons in the back of the leg, just above the knee - like, our achilles tendon.... His knee occasionally bends wrong - backwards, basically. If that's what he did, he's toast....

I'm stubbornly insisting, to myself at least, that it's an abcess, though. Because then he'll be fine.
