lots of stuff
Been really busy these last couple of weeks, between school and life in general. My frustration is compounded by insanely slow internet at the moment. It seems that all the weird situations happen to me at work, since the other night I had another annoying and stressful situation to deal with. Not as bad as heroine-guy, but it's up there:
Cristobal, one of the mexican's at Noodles, called in saying he had to work his other job that night, and had forgotten to look at both schedules ahead of time. The night was shitty because of that alone, since dinner was quite interesting with one less person in the kitchen. Marco's cousin was able to stay and close for cristobal, so it all ended alright, but around 8, just when things where dying down, who stumbled in the back door, completely trashed and ready to work? Cristobal. No idea what the fuck he was on, but there was certainly more involved than the stench of tequila. It took me a good 20 minutes to get him out of the kitchen and the restaurant, and I almost called the cops, since he probably should have gone to detox. I'm not sure if he's going to get fired, but it's a likely (and welcome) outcome. It's not that he isn't a good worker (he's one of the few night employees who has been properly trained), but he's a bit.....unsettling to work with, especially with some of the things he says (mostly about girls) since you don't know when he's kidding or not. Ugh.
speaking of work, not exactly looking forward to this weekend with the massive sales guaranteed by Halloween and State Street. Luckily I don't close saturday, but work 1-9, which isn't the greatest. I also work a mid on sunday. Certainly not the worst shifts I could have, but 30 hours scheduled is always a pain, especially with all the constant schoolwork I have.
in other news, I got my hair cut today. I really like it, since it's a completely different style for me (no longer the "this looks ok now, but will grow out and look good for ~4-5 months" look, and as such will probably have to get my hair cut more often, but that's not necessarily a bad thing) Also, Rae and I are loving Guitar Hero: World Tour. We haven't been able to mess around in the song creator yet, due to busy schedules, but hopefully we'll be trying our hand at it soon.
now, off to bed so I can get up early to finish papers....
