update

11:34 PM - finally an update that isn't a survey.
Current mood: awake

So.....this has been the snowiest year so far. We weren't even expecting snow today, and we got an inch. I keep threatening to get a sled, but haven't yet. I will!

We joined the YMCA and I've been working out nearly every day. Funny how I'm actually not sore. I definitely should be. So you should see a definite change in my body shape- I'm losing weight and building muscle. Trying to lose 40 pounds by April, in time for the Converse c/o 2001 5 year reunion. It's do-able. I'm also trying to get down to the very low ody fat that I was when I raced mountain bikes. Yeah, I raced my junior and part of senior years in college. Did really well, then I graduated and got a job and....fast food. End of story.

I've been downloading music like crazy. I figure our computer is going to hell in a handbasket, so I'll just help it along. Downloaded a bunch of shit from my middle and high school years, like Cypress Hill, LL Cool J's "Doin' It", and needless to say, it's bringing back a lot of funny memories.

Taking 2 sick cats (Seal and Liza) back to Georgia this Tuesday. I don't think they're ever going to get over it. Because they're sick, the breeder is giving us our choice of 2 or 3 new NON SICK kittens, even though I don't think it was his fault they got sick. It's sad, because Liza would do SO well in shows, and Seal-- I'm just really attached to her.

School resumes Jan. 3 and don't be surprised if you see less of me on here. I'll be hella busy. Class MTWTh from 8:30 'til 4:30. Taking the NET (Nurse Entrance Test) soon. Wish me luck.

Other than that, Linds and I are headed to Raleigh after we drop the 2 sick ones off in Atlanta. We'll go to Raleigh on Wednesday, leave for the beach house with my brothers on Thursday, partying on down there until Saturday when we return for Xmas eve dinner. It should be fun. By "partying" I mean lots of laughter, pranks, goofiness, etc. My mom thinks it's great we're going down there because we'll get out of her hair before Xmas while she's trying to get ready for the party and wrap presents. I'm amazed she's letting us stay in "her baby"--the hella nice beach house she bought 4 years ago. It's 4 stories and has an elevator. LOL. I wonder if we can use the boat....I guess she trusts us because Linds and I are "homeowners" ourselves, and we promise not to tear the place up. I'll probably do the usual "jump in the ocean in December just 'cause I'm crazy" thing. Lindsey, being the typical Midwesterner from MinneSNOWta and having not seen the ocean as much as say, a North Carolinian, is afraid of sharks and therefore doesn't spend much time in the ocean.

With all the family the Xmas season promises to unite, also generally entails just a little bit of dysfunction within my family. It's, let's just say, one of the main reasons I don't miss Xmas in Raleigh. I call it the SS Dysfunction setting sail....... After all, our family puts the "fun" back in dysFUNction. Last year, my step grandma got drunk and found herself in a verbal altercation with another drunk relative. I had to keep reminding Lindsey (who was shocked) that this was yet another yearly event at the Clancy Christmas--drunk relatives fighting.

That is all for now.
