Have you ever heard the song I drove all Night by Celine Dion? Do yourself a favor, look it up and listen to it. This describes the events of the past week for my family.
Me and my mom were supposed to drive in to Minneapolis Minn. on Tuesday for the wedding today (sat.). We suprised the groom by driving literally all night... (left around 6, got in around 5:30am their time). It was beautiful. I got a bed, my mom snuck into his room and crawled into bed with him. What happened after that, idk and I don't want to know...lol
We spent a great weekend here in Minneapolis. Ben's parents are Martial artists, they own a dojo not far from here. They teach Okinowan Kempo Karate and Kubudo. (kubudo is weapons). I spent a majority of the days helping them with classes when I wasn't around helping with the wedding. I learned how to use Ninchatku (ninchucks). I was so thrilled that I kept on practicing the Kata (routine) over and over until Senpai (Jessie, Ben's dad...senpai means head student), gave me a pair of Ninchatku to take home to practice with. Lots o' fun. Sensai (teacher, Ben's mom Alice) keeps telling me I better not injure myself with those things or she'll kill me... lol
Today was the wedding. My mom went to a hotel with Alex D, Zeva and Laura. They had their little Bridal party. Ben's cousin came in to town, so I gave up my room so she could rest comfortably. I had to bunk with Ben, and I was freezing cause he is a freak and keeps his room like 64 degrees. I woke up round 7, waited my turn to shower, then Ben helped me get dressed. My costume is called a Great Kilt. Basically, it is 10 yards of plaid fabric, that is folded a certain way, then is put onto the person. It was pretty cool, because there was not a single stitch in that outfit, it was all held together by the folds and my belt.
So we get to the renaissance fair and head to the alter. We set up the candles and other alter tools and decorations we needed. My mom arrives and I meet her elsewhere in the park. (she didn't want to be seen by Ben until it started.) The wedding was supposed to start at 12, but the High Priestess bitch was almost 45 minutes late. Me, my mom, and Ben were all very pissed off, but we collected ourselves and it proved to be a great cerimony.
My new grandfather Jessie normally doesn't drink, but the toasting liquor (baren Jager, it's a honey liquor, really sweet and tasty as hell...but strong), was going down too well for him. He was sloshed not 15 minutes after we left the alter. He is one of those giggly drunks and we were having fun with that. I was unfortunately the dd, so everyone else proceeded to get toasty while I watched from the sideline...
The wedding party left a little bit ago to go to Karaoke. Damn that whole law thing where you have to be of age to go places...lol
O well, I'm leaving at 5 o'clock tomorrow morning to head home, that's 6 o'clock your time, so I should be back home around 6 or 7pm your time... anyone that reads this should totally go over to my house and suprise me when I get there... Sedret Whitfield is housesitting, so just go there around 6:30ish and suprise me... :)
Love ya!!!
