My bf has a dream. A dream that we will both learn Russian and be able to use it as our "secret language" around other people. Haha. It does sound fun, the way he describes it. Would be cool to have our own language that hardly anyone else would understand. Why Russian? Just because he thinks it sounds cool. I already know some, since I studied it several years ago, but am super rusty. Too bad it isn't Spanish, I used to be fluent in that, but so many people in the US speak Spanish, it couldn't be anything secretive, and I agree that it doesn't sound as cool. I'm glad he didn't pick French, I tried that once and totally sucked at it. Always thought I'd like to learn Gaelic, but since hearing more of it here in Scotland, I think it sounds super difficult.
He's really excited about the idea, ha. I think it's cute, and far be it from me to discourage learning. An extra language is always helpful. Who knows how far we'll get with it, though. It can be something fun we're doing together.
