pay it forward...
Have you seen that movie "Pay it forward?" It's where someone does something nice for you and in return you do three things nice for someone else. I personally feel that every chance you get, you should try to be nice or do something nice for someone, irregardless of whether or not you like them. I find this hard to practice this myself, but some people this week have inspired me to try harder...
1. I ran out of meals at parkside, and the lady working at the registered felt bad for me and told me to run in and grab a fruit... even after I gave her an out and told her it was okay cause I didn't want to get her in trouble. She turned away and waved me inside. :) :)
2. Waiting in line to pay for groceries (corn pops and canned corn hehe) this lady in front of me saw me struggling to hold my two boxes of cereal and cans of corn and she quickly took all her groceries out of the child seat of her cart so I could put my stuff on it. Then the guy in front of her was struggling to put all his stuff on the counter and she quickly went over to help him. :) :)
3. This girl came up to me during lecture to tell me she liked the presentation I gave during our lab section AND she remembered my name! (I need to go find out what hers is...) :) :) :)
4. This security guard at St. John's, a clinic I volunteer at, bought me cookies! :) :) :) I didn't have the heart to tell him I gave up junk food for lent... and then he bought me lunch! :) :) :) :) :)
