I've always found the concept of destiny within this show to be interesting. I mean, Merlin discovered Arthur is his destiny, would he still feel the loyalty to Arthur if he didn't know?

Is destiny a force that can be felt? Does Arthur feel the same compulsion towards Merlin because of destiny or because Merlin goes above and beyond a normal servant and Arthur feels some form of debt/reciprocation because of that? I kindof had a vague idea for a fic that explores Arthur's feelings re:Merlin and wanting to confide in him, and treat him as more than a servant, but not knowing why and knowing he shouldn't and how confusing that is, because he doesn't know that's his destiny. And that could be very weird for him.

Although I thought that it was Mordred who's destiny it was to kill Arthur? I could be wrong though...

Morgana being another thread to Merlin's destiny is also interesting. And yeah, Merlin will sortof dog Morgana's footsteps and eventually kill her (unless the vision with the battlefield comes to pass, which I assumed was Camlann? Or some other great battle anyway). Which brings me to a completely unrelated question - if that does come to pass, and Merlin is 80 or whatever...how old would Morgana be? Is she also immortal/slow aging or whatever, because she's older than Merlin (I assume).

And yeah, no word on Gwen's destiny.

This show owns all my feelings. All of them. And yes to orgies and stupid-face makeouts. For serious.

That's what I want to know.

Whether or not it's Mordred that does it, I think the show makes it pretty clear that Morgana is going to be a large player in Arthur's downfall.

I'm also really curious about the immortality/slow aging thing too... This is why I need tickets to comic con next year!
