[Yuki pauses in her tracks and smiles when she sees someone walking along the sidewalk towards her. She'll hurry forward in a clumsy sort of manner, holding a hand out.]

O-Oh, please wait. Don't you want to come see the rest of the flowers...?

[..............Her hand ends in a knife blade.]

[Yuki continues to reach out. ...Far past the limits of how far she ought to be able to reach, the blade is still slowly extending.]

[That's creeping her out. She sidesteps so as not to be in the direct path of the stretchy blade-arm and weighs her options. Should she run or will that just make her mad?]

U-uhhhh... okay, how about you start walking to the ... flowers, and I'll follow when you get this thing out of my face! ♪

[The arm pauses for a moment before it snaps back rapidly to Yuki's side. ...The effect is somewhat incongruous with reality. The girl will smile.]

...Ah, they're right here.

[Suddenly, Rin is standing in a field of black flowers. They seem to multiply as she watches, growing larger and larger. And yet, they're not growing on anything but the featureless mass that had become the ground.]

Yeah sure... [Rin replies, distracted by how fast they showed up and how fast they're multiplying... if these things are dangerous she's pretty much screwed. Damn it, should have run. Actually. Man, maybe she should have joined that book club. Or resisted the urge to squirt gun her. She doesn't have much to stand on does she?

She puts on a big smile, trying to humor the scary nerdy girl...]

They're great! Um, what kind of flowers are they?

I... I'm not certain. Was it... Ah. I think, Venus man-trap?

[Those were probably good Words to Run From. The mass of flowers immediately melts into shadows, a mass of darkness that congregates together to reform as, well. A monstrous Venus fly-trap. A massive, carnivorous plant about three times Yuki's size.

It snaps once at Rin before beginning to run in her general direction.]

[Yuki's face assumes a quizzical expression; Rin probably doesn't notice since she's too busy running away from the mobile plant, though. ...Also, she may want to avoid or otherwise jump over the spiky hurdles that seem to be materializing in her path.]

[this has quickly degraded into video game territory.

Rin's leg speakers begin to blast game music as she hops over the smallest hurdles and tries to weave around larger ones. It isn't like she's amazing at it, but she did go to high school... how fast is this flower anyway?! She looks over her shoulder, which would be pretty stupid if a hurdle happened to materialize right in her face. But does it!?]

[Yuki laughs a little bit at the music as she slowly follows after.]

It's nice to, ah... What do they say? Stop and smell the roses...

[This is probably why Rin runs into a stop sign instead.]
