Speeding Blue Cars

Mar 21, 2004 15:46

Well, we tested a car yesterday and boy was that sweet. The idea of a car to take anywhere without the fear of breakdowns. It was heavenly. Tomorrow we are going to buy the Passat wagon. I miss having a wagon. I love the fact that I can throw a dog in the back and people inside the car plus room to put the groceries. I love the fact that I can buy my flowers in Canada and they lie flat all over the back and not in bunches in the trunk and back seat. I am so excited.

We have more snow. Quite typical for this time of year. Spring weather with Winter fighting every second to not let go. The birds are starting to come back. I have to keep up with the feed because it is hard for them to survive without new growth.

Work is at a go-go pace. Most of the required tax paperwork (and payments) have been completed and mailed out. I feel successful for that item now finished. Hopefully we can bring in some income to help balance out all the accounts payables that have hit us hard this month.

Hubby is on his computer, life is normal. I still have a ton of jewelry to make but I have gotten quite a few pieces done. I have some house work to tackle and laundry to tend to but other than that I can hang out with my pliers and pop out a necklace today.

We (Hubby and I) have been making it a habit of eating apple or blueberry turnovers every Saturday. Since we ran all over the Earth yesterday we had our morning breakfast today. Warm bellies, hot tea and coffee, what a wonderful start to the day.

I checked out a few diaries today and left some comments. If any of you grace my diary, Greetings and Light and Love!

The Girl Scout cookies arrived and they are sitting in the office. We have been nibbling on them for the past two nights. I love these "All Abouts". They are a shortbread cookie with a dark chocolate bottom. Very tasty you must try them.

Plans for spring planting are being worked on this very moment. I plan to rip out the left side of the front yard and turn the whole thing into a perennial display of colour. I purchased a vast amount of perennials last year and hoping they survived the winter. I will rip them out and replant them to give them the space they need to thrive. Hubby is happy about this because it is less he has to mow. The area is too small for his riding lawn mower to cut so he has to use a push mower instead. ("More Work for him.") Heavens Forbid that should happen!

Anyhow, My brother is on the loose. Yesterday he left for Vermont to see his nephews get baptized. His plans were to come home that evening. Well, bad weather erupted and so he called me to ask if I would let his dog out. He said that he was still planning on going home that evening but the weather was poor. I thought that he was on his way home last night when he called. I went over and let his dog out thinking that in a few hours he would be home. This morning I called to apologize for my curtness on the phone. No answer. I called a bit later, no answer. I called and threatened to come over, no answer. I went over and didn't see any signs that he made it home. That was at 2:30pm. Let the dog out, fed both the dog and the cat, threw dog back out. Spent some time with dog. I returned home. The phone rings, it is brother. He announces that he didn't come home last night and he is almost home. He had someone else come over to let the dog out this morning because he didn't want to wake us. I scolded him because that dog went all night without a second trip out for a bathroom break. I would have went over at 11pm to give the dog some attention and care for it's needs. I also would have been there in the morning and afternoon as well. Luckily for the dog's sake that I knew something was up and to go over there. Is common sense fading from the genetic gene pool? He is now on the phone explaining his side of the story.

Well, enough rambling for now. Hope you all are having a great day. Bright Blessings with Love..............Bogomils
