Can't
I had a great day yesterday! I ended up joining the Order of Confederate Rose, Belle Boyd Chapter. Whoo hoo! At least I'm some sort of Rose now LOL!!! I went to the meeting and the women were instantly warm and welcoming. They listened to my ideas and didn't blow anything off just because I was new to thiem. Tori went with me and they were also very kind to her and able to discuss lot of good reenactor stuff. Most of their husbands are with the 2nd Kentucky Cavalry, one does WWII, and three of them do RevWar! I came home bubbling over that I was going to have face to face friends that do RevWar, G just rolled his eyes at me. They seem to think I need another time period like I need a hole in my head.
Anyhow, I learned that Belle Boyd is actually buried in Baraboo, Wisconsin. As it happens I'll be driving through that town on the Saturday after Thanksgiving! I think I'll stop and leave a trinket on her grave.
And onto more important new..... Sure thingaztecknight , as the child of a gay man who had a wonderful, long, stable relationship with his partner, I'll happily pass this along. Because it can't hurt :-)
