Researching

Oct 14, 2006 23:17

Spent the day at the library researching trafficking, bride selling and prostitution in China. I managed to find some interesting sites but it appears that the lack of reliable information means that I'll need to contact some NGOs directly. The problem with NGOs is getting past their twist and down to real data. I need to keep the article short: approximately 3000 words which is only 6 pages. This means I must be concise from A to Z; not much room to manouevre.
AND I need to get it written up before I go into the hospital. If December 2005 is anything to go by I don't think I'll be able to work on it post-surgery.
I did take a break just before lunch and enjoyed flitting through a book on mango trees. I also found a good one on tree orchards.
I stayed in Froggy's office the whole afternoon. The Erbitux and Campto mix I had on Wednesday send my intestines spinning and I've been in and out of the loo more times than I care to mention.
We're currently watching ballet on the gollybox whilst we both hop around on our computers. Ah he's just seen something I need to alter in my LJ... best get to it.
