Up and Running

I'm delighted to be back up and in the saddle again! OK so I'm still a bit slow out of the starting blocks but we've managed to significantly reduce my pain medication and my scar is looking better every day.
How can I thank everyone enough for all the support and love you've given Froggy and I throughout this whole ordeal? Simply impossible. So I'll just say thank you with all my heart.
Thank you.
So what's next you ask? Ah ha - well there's a huge Christmas buffet that we're hosting here on Sunday for the Frog family and my dad who's over here taking care of me during the holidays.
I've got a great Christmas carol karaoke cd which should keep everyone in good spirits. We're also doing a Christmas present swap game - everyone brings a wrapped gift worth no more than €20 which is numbered upon arrival. Then when we're ready to play, numbers are distributed out and the corresponding gifts. The fun part is when people get to swap gifts. It's a new concept for everyone over here. I played a variation of it years ago in Houston and won a blender which Froggy and I blew up (wrong voltage). It should be fun.
Then on Monday we're doing a leftovers special for stragglers.
Then dad's going home and Froggy and I are going to spend some very well deserved quiet time together. Which brings us to New Year's Eve - doors locked, phones unplugged, computers off: sounds wonderful - just us, at home looking forward to a healthy and prosperous 2007.
In January I do return to the hospital for some scans and I'll have some blood work done but that's still a way off so I'll just savor the moment.

family, christmas, home, friends
