Good day!

Met up with a friend this morning. Froggy and I were running late. It didn't help that we've gone to bed quite late these past few days. At least I can now say that everyone is delighted with mum's new and improved company website. Froggy's still working out a few javascript programming kinks for the menu but it's starting to look pretty good overall.

So this morning we woke up late, got ready in a rush, skipped breakfast and ran to catch a train which we missed (realised that I can't run yet), incidentally, by 30 seconds.
So Jeanne met me at the library and we headed to a café so that I could get a bite to eat. Of course, it's been a while since I saw her last so we ended up chatting for over an hour. We didn't end up having enough time to go and see the film Bamako but we might see it next week. Instead we returned to the library and visited a great exhibition. Then it was lunchtime and we grabbed some sandwiches to go. Froggy met up with us, we said adios to Jeanne and then we headed to the hospital for my meeting with the anaesthesiologist and the ostomy nurse. This time we were early! Yes, us. I know, difficult to believe. Thank goodness Froggy had taken his afternoon off: the waiting room was packed and the consultations were all running late. I really like the service at Cochin - I saw my surgeon-to-be (just in passing), he recognised me immediately, shook my hand and asked me how I was. All of the other nurses, assistants, etc. are really friendly. I'm very happy that my oncologist sent me there. There's nothing like meeting a good group of doctors to build one's confidence before an operation (especially when that group is the one that's taking care of you).
After the hospital we returned home, got out the car and did some well-needed grocery shopping. Finally we made it home and put the kettle on. It's chill out time. We even forgot that Froggy rented a dvd. I think we'll probably watch it tomorrow. I'm back at my usual hospital tomorrow for chemo.
Tonight we both need an early night. *yawns*
