Yesterday's cute Maggie conversation:
"Ciwwial."
"OK, we can have cereal for breakfast. Do you want Raisin Bran or Life?"
"Yeah."
"Raisin Bran?"
"Wife."

American Idol: Fairly eh so far. It's stunning that the two weakest by far keep getting voted through. Sanjaya's voice tends to be so thin and faint. And Antonella's pitch is frequently off. Will be interesting to see how far "he's so young and cute!" and "haha let's try to push through the bad role model" will take them.

Spent a happy evening tailing
velvalynn in WoW yesterday. She's having the usual adjustment issues with UI and character movement and so on, but was doing pretty well overall. I did have a brainfart and lead her astray: / is to toggle run/walk, num lock is for autorun. Sorry about that!

I just checked the calendar, and Easter is April 8. So I have a bit more than a month of sewing time if I want to make her a special outfit again. I have a couple of ideas, but the one I'm leaning towards is a smocked top with shorts, in gingham, with a matching cap of some kind. I haven't done smocking in a long time, but my needlework book has some good information about it.

Maggie and I made biscotti a couple of days ago. Baking with her is a bit of an adventure, because I need to find things she can do that are within her abilities, and then keep her distracted while I take care of the stuff that is not. The cookies turned out really tasty, date and pecan, and they're made with whole wheat flour so the healthy factor is ramped up a bit.

If you give a two-year-old some q-tips, two paper towel tubes, and a balloon, she's liable to make up a wacky game that seems to be part badminton, part tag.

Knitting kind of stalled out. I finished one mitten, but it's too large for her, so my motivation to finish the other fizzled. At least she'll have them for the next cold season.
