First update in a while
I got a job offer from a company known as Groundwater and Environmental Services. (http://www.gesonline.com) They feel like they would be a very cool company to work for. I called them today and started the negotiation thing, asking for more money. The guy I needed to talk to wasn't in the office today, so I talked to one of the guys I interviewed with (he is a really nice and decent guy, by the way). He gave me a decent feeling as to the possibility of my getting more money. In his (summarized) words, "We're in NJ, and you live in NJ. NJ isn't a cheap place. You are only being true to yourself." So, we shall see...he said that they will (most likely, I can only assume) call on Thursday with their offer...whether it is counter- or not remains to be seen.
I should also get a job offer from Roux sometime soon. Very exciting.
So, life looks good, and I feel that I can actually be proud(ish) of myself, which for me is a change. A very good thing.
