"Conference room. Colby. Now." Don's words thundered through the silence.
Colby's apprehension had him searching the desk, suddenly finding the computer mouse fascinating. It was all he could do to avoid Don's eyes. He knew there was no avoiding this, but at least for seven seconds, he could try.
His confident shoulders could not hold their strength. Colby had to face getting up - no way around the epicenter of his boss's infuriation. This wouldn't be like a tour in Afghanistan, but it wouldn't exactly be a picnic either.
No avoiding this, he thought. So his bones started to move.
