well. i have honestly been sitting here for five minutes staring at the blank screen in front of me. that's how much i don't know where to start. it's been a solid month or so since i've last updated. i almost forgot that i even wrote in a live journal until my sister asked me if i still had one or not.
yeaahhhh... i think i left off right before the italian exchange students came. hmmm. what is there to say about the italian exchange students? they were awesome. we spent nearly every night of the two weeks that they were either out to dinner or at someone's house eating food and hanging around. those could have possibly been the two most hectic weeks of my life. but it was so worth it. the last week got to be a little bit much, when i had two golf matches on the last two days they were here, and i had a 4 page paper to write with juliana for history. it was a wicked fun time though, and i can't wait to go to italy in april.
as for golf... i finished at 4-1-4, and the team finished 8-1, tied for first in the league, thanks to stoneham. here's what happened (for all of you who actually care): so we had a match against woburn on the friday before the long weekend, and both of us were 7-0 going into it. so it was basically like whoever wins the match wins the league. naturally, we lost by two points. so tuesday we faced lexington, and both of us were 7-1. we beat lexington by a few, and assumed that we had taken a respectable second place, finishing at 8-1. turns out woburn choked big time and lost to stoneham on tuesday, leaving them at 8-1 also, which tied us for first. the reason why this is so funny, for all of you who are laughing hysterically, is that stoneham really, really sucks. i just found out that the top 6 kids on the team didn't qualify for states today. oh well. not a bad season.
oh yeah, i also rear ended some guy on the fellsway. cool beans. not really.
photography is awesome. probably my favorite class. i have three rolls of black and white film finished, and i'm almost done with my fourth roll, which is color. i love using a manual camera. it's so much fun. so is the dark room. i'm so taking it again next year even if i don't get any credit for it.
so what else has been going on.... i went into harvard on saturday and stayed for the night. it was a lot of fun. it was wicked cool to see what college life was like. there was an old school nintendo with original mario and duck hunt!!! it was sooo kick ass. and there was a foosball table, where i got my ass kicked a number of times by my sister. i found it amusing how everyone there used words that i didn't understand even when they were drunk. it's wicked cool to walk around harvard square at one in the morning and go to the pizza places that are more crowded then they are during the day. there was a pretty big party on friday night which i missed, and which meant that saturday night was pretty quiet. but that's okay, there's gonna be a party next time i go. i'm excited.
i've been suffering from severe nostalgia lately. i'm currently in a huge pink floyd phase, and it's totally reminding me of the old days like march and april of this year. not that i don't like things the way they are now, it's just that i really miss those days, and i don't want them to be gone. thats why i'm going into boston with sam and andrew on saturday.... to satisfy my nostalgia of how things used to be.
i'll try to stop being so lazy and update more often.
