Because, you know, this story proves that they were all wrong about Terry Schiavo. Just like they were wrong about the WMDs. And Clinton's budget. And the minimum wage. And the Iraq war. And falling military recruitment. Etc. etc. etc.
The neocon feeding tube was disconnected from reality, what, twenty years ago? It must be nice to live in your own fantasy world.

On behalf of the thousands of patriotic liberals who are currently serving in Iraq to save YOUR leader's political bacon: You're welcome.
And by the way, you owe them an apology. Or would that require too much of an understanding of duty, honor, and country on your part?
Neither one of them responded, of course. But at that point the board was churning hundreds of messages per minute, so mine were quickly buried.
And in any case, it's not like I could have possibly persuaded those morons. Except possibly with a gun.
