Hurrah especially for the latter - music by them seems to be good for me writing wise, both with fics (and other writing things I guess) and reviews. Plus it's pretty catchy too! Also hurrah for my overrated fic getting past 80,000 views on sppf I guess? O_o This is most silly. Not that I'm complaining mind. ;p
Uni is going...all right I suppose. Physics is going better for me thus far this year methinks, probably because the pace this time around is more manageable. Lab partners are pretty good this year as well, and the computation physics side of things is decent too. One of my maths classes is going nicely too - good marks in the assignments so far and a good lecturer... but in another class we have a new lecturer in the 2nd half and along with the now more boring, drier content and our lecture's droning voice (and decision not to give us a practise quiz because it's too hard for him to make.... =/ And stats is easily the worst subject I have this semester, partly due to poor tutors and a lot of proofs rather than examples of actual questions in lectures. Also R is a poor language. =(
I have only one quiz next week but then everything in the last three weeks everything ever, and I'll have my last end-of-semester exam after that on the last possible day. On the plus side, more time to study! On the negative side - longer until my month break from 5:15 am wake up times. I like my sleep. =(
Anyways fanfic meme because all the cool kids are doing it and pretending to be cool is fun! =p Screw the fact I only have four fics on the internet!
1. Which is your favorite fic?
Derp, The Retelling of Pokemon Colosseum! ...I think I might be referring to that one a good deal so it'd be TRoPC for short. =p Anyways, it's hard for me to go past that one really - it's the fic I have been working on for years, and pretty entertaining for myself to write and think about on and off as well. That, and comparing my writing abilities (well, I like to think I have some) now to my first version of my prologue of that fic... I can see how I've improved since then, and that's pretty awesome imo. Besides, what's not fun about a fic in which I get to write in pastries, Miror B, poke fun at a game I liked and have a whole chapter narrated by a drunk character who cannot put together a fully comprehensible sentence? =p
2. Which is your best-received fic?
TRoPC again. Might have a slight thing to do with it being around for a few years and being a chaptered fic unlike my three other stories. =p As well as the too-many-views (not just on sppf - 37,000+ on ffnet), the few sppf fanfic awards, the advertising done by a Pokemon LPer (twice!) on Youtube who I never heard of, the tvtropes page... yeah.
Honourable mention though goes to Turnabout Assumptions because on PC it was hit with a slew of positive reviews which I did not expect, although possibly should have in hindsight because of the fact there was a review challenge going on at the time. XD
3. Which is your worst-received fic?
Worst out of stuff actually put on the net...hmm. I think that might be Unfortunately Blue or Keep Out tbh, although I guess they weren't reeally bad, just not reviewed as much as my others. I'm leaning towards the former though. Plus that one probably is my weakst as well - imo anyway.
4. Which is your angsty-est fic?
Unfortunately Blue I guess, given the main character is a bit 'woe is me' after a 'thing' happens. Keep Out isn't really bright and happy but there's more 'ANGRY' and revenge occurring there rather than angst.
5. Which is your funniest fic?
TRoPC it is! I think it's funnier than Turnabout Assumptions at any rate, and the other two fics I've done aren't comedies, so.
6. Smuttiest?
N/A due to not writing anything of the kind, herp. Nor is there any plans to write anything of the sort in the future tbh... a kiss maybe in something but I doubt that classes as smut. =p
7. Fluffiest?
See above.
8. Have you ever made someone cry with a fic?
Hmm...let me look at some reviews for Unfortunately Blue on ffnet!
Beautiful. ^_^ I almost cried at the end! Great job! :)
holy hell, thats probly the saddest thing ive ever read, man
That was very sad.
So two 'very sad' or along those lines...and a 'almost cried' - not far off but not quite. What about sppf...well besides more 'very sads' in-between some better reviews:
... Poor Hidma....
Deep review. =p But what about PC...
She died....
Sad.
I want to change the story lol hidma one day betrays her gets a nerf gun and one day shot midvma's and then dies...
...no comment. Just keep in mind that Hidma is of the houndoom line. >_<
...oh, the question? No, it seems not!
9. Which fic frustrates you the most?
I am...unsure. All my one-shots weren't really difficult to write at least the basis and although some aren't that great they don't frustrate me... so I'd actually say TRoPC - or anyways some parts which I have had some trouble with writing or deciding what to do with. Particualrly a scene in my next chapter in fact because of an event I just wasn't sure how to go about. i think I have it figured out though?
10. Which fic was the most fun to write?
TRoPC again.
11. Who is your favorite OC you've ever created?
I don't have that many, herp. But well, I kinda like Andrew in TRoPC seeing he was a character in some scripts I wrote ages back, although seeing Tom is only based on an NPC very, very loosely he is basically an OC and so I guess he is my favourite. =p Hidma's all right too as well I suppose...
12. Are you better at oneshot or multipart?
I am unsure... if you look at it from a 'stuff finished' POV then I have 3 one-shots to one (still ongoing) chaptered fic though. XD
13. What character do you think you're the best at portraying?
In general - the more crazy/wacky/unique ones, or the stupid ones , the latter which after some scripts I did on top of TRoPC I have a lot of practise with. =p
As for a specific one - Miror B hands down. I always feel that any scenes involving him that I writ com out the easiest and are also the most fun to write.
14. What character is the most difficult to portray?
Characters that don't satisfy the above I suppose... in other words, the sane, not-idiotic characters. Wes, the 'hero' of Colosseum and is such for me partly as I didn't exactly nail down his personality when I began (I need to edit earlier chapters already, darn it) and there wasn't really much offered about his personality from Colosseum either. Besides 'this guy blows up stuff and was a criminal! Also not a random 10-year-old!'
15. Tag five other authors!
No. >:[ But if you read this and haven't done it, go ahead!
