Spending my time

So it's odd having this enforced vacation. At this point I go into the office only when I need to download alot or want fresh fruit. I'm spending most of my time tweaking my CV and applying for loads of jobs. The rest is catching up on new technologies, and the new job advert terminology. When did Methodology become Solutions Architecture? And when did Data Modelling become Database Management?

I spend more time on the phone to builders than employers, which is not ideal. Turns out one of the bits of work we need is significantly less work than expected. Pity it's the cheapest of the work. And pity the builder wants to vastly overcharge for it. I'd do it myself, but the crap job the last lot did on it was the reason it needs the work now.

FWIW, I am available for hanging out during the daytime if anyone was some time they want killed.
I just need to ensure I spend some time brushing up and learning new skills that will get me a job. I wrote my first Android app last week. That hardly qualifies me for much I wasn't qualified to do before, but I at least can honestly put it on my CV and talk about it without sounding like I'm making shit up. On that note, does anyone know a good source of Android info that's not the SDK documentation (books or web sites)?

builders, lazyweb, laziness, android, work, house, me
