i saw murderball last night with cynthia. i recommend it, especially for those of you in/connected to birmingham. much of it was filmed at lakeshore rehabilitation center in homewood, a stone's throw from the ol' alma mater.
the film was darker than i had anticipated, with more of a focus on how the athletes live and interact on a daily basis and not so much the skill of the game. there are some surprisingly risque elements as well, but it is rated R after all. we can talk about that at another time in another place.
