2 Days to Christmas
Well my plans for skiing have been foiled for the final time. The utter lack of snow and cold in Nikko this winter thus far means our skiing plans must be canceled. The good news is that we get our money back! yay! Liz, Fei, and I are planning on trying again in February when it is even colder then, I hear. I am going Ice skating January 16th with Miki, and one of her Japanese friends as well as a large group of gaijin. I can't wait! I love to skate, though ice skating is a little rougher for me. Then Miki's Japanese friend who is from the Nara area is going to take me and Miki to her house and we get to explore the Nara area in January, not hte big bhudda and that kind of stuff, but all the neat things most tourists don't get to see! Yay! It sounds like it could be a very fun trip and I love hanging out with Miki! I am planning on doing my nara trip real soon maybe around the 6th of January. I will stay at Colleen's host families for two nights and then have two night bus trips. I don't think it will be that bad actually, in monetary terms. Especially if I don't have to pay for lodging. I will have to wait and see what Colleen says and see how things go! Well it is time for an early night! Hope everyone is doingg well and behaving themselves! Santa is watching ;)
