winter drudgery
The end of febuary seems to bring some sort of archaic unsettling motion. With changing tempatures there is a sort of manic feel to the weather. Snow than heat ice than fire. Sort of the simplest of differences minute differences in tempature but the effects are tremendous. A change of sort set into clear motion.
Everthing planned usually goes awry. And the moments you thought had made in escro were all wasted as the remainder splinters and conceals. The spoils of another rather than of ones gained.
Sprechen Zie Deutsch does a really excellent version of Police and Thieves for the RENO911 movie. Sort of a version that takes more from the Clash than Junior Mervin.
ALso I highly reccomend everyone reading "Samson" by David Maine one of the more interesting books I have read as of late. A first person narrative retelling of Samson. Spread out from his early life to death. A more ellaborated life story than that told in the Bible. Filled with sex, violence, and booze. It is set in the time it occured but Samson tells his own story in his own words and you sort of understand him and his world better than the "straight" version of the Bible.
