Put another excellent weekend in the books...

THURSDAY

Got my classes over with. Unlike the past couple weeks, I didn't have my car with me. So I had requested that Bopha come pick me up. But they ("they" being her, Pete, and Ryan [B.]) didn't show up until quarter after 5... because they got lost multiple times.
For those not familiar, the route from Littleton to Lyndon State College could not be any easier. You get on 93-North, exit onto 91-North, take the third or fourth exit from there (note: the exit that literally says Lyndon State College: Next right) and then take a left at the intersection. Not too difficult... Yet I find it so baffling to find that my friends have gotten lost twice now. But anyway, after I lay my fake upset mood on them, we leave.
Of the 3 of them, Pete was the one nominated to drive. Why... Pete, usually the safe driver, is being INSANE. On the off ramp to 93, we're ahead of a car. And when we get back on the highway, Pete forgets to accelerate saying that he thought he was still on the ramp. So the car passes us. Once he realizes he's on the highway, he speeds up to pass the car... only he cuts them off and slows down to 50... The car passes us again... speeds the hell up so as to not have to deal with Pete again. Pete is laughing maniacally the entire time. Ph33r the road rage.
I need to start writing what shit I did down, cuz I don't remember doing anything else on Thursday.

FRIDAY

Friday gets the nod for best day of the weekend this time.
Bopha and Buckley were absent this weekend as they were both at UNH. And it always seems like Bopha misses out on all the super awesome weekends.

After messing around with my guitar for the majority of the day, Joe (P.) calls me and gives me a message. "Bobbo... We're doing it tonight." That's all that needed to be said. The "it" was the much planned, much anticipated activity known as "flaming soccer". Joe and Holly had been planning it forever. And they decided tonight was the time to do it. Around 7:00, Holly comes pick me up with Joe and Hank accompanying. Others were supposed to join us (read: Jason, Hayden, others), but it ended up being just us four.
We headed to Wal Mart to pick up supplies. It turned out that I was the only one who had any money... So I was fielding the entire night. Great. We head to the sporting section to pick out a soccer ball. But the only ones they had were the overly priced ones. 11 bucks is a bit much for a soccer ball. We wanted a kickball, but it woud have too much kick to it. We find a volleyball that has the infamous Wilson symbol on it (from Castaway). We immediatley fall in love with it, and choose it to be the sacrificial lamb that gets lit on fire. We head to find something to wrap it in so it'll burn better. While we were discussing towels, we found something much more cost efficient: MEN'S BRIEFS! 7 for 4 bucks. Sweet! Head to the check out lane where we got the lighter fluid and a lighter. Now, Hank and I were the only ones able to buy the lighter fluid since you need to be 18 to buy it. And this is the most random check out ever (even more so than randomly buying a $7 machete). So I'd prefer Hank do it. But he forgot his license. So that leaves me to suffer the embarassment of buying... a Wilson replica, a pack of tighty whiteys, a lighter, and fluid. But I do it anyway. That stupid Wilson was more than I thought. I spent 15 bucks on all of that. This had better been the best game of soccer ever.
We go up to Remich Park and to the little league field. We go on the infield so we play in the dirt whereas not to set the grass of the outfield on fire. We were all pretty paranoid. A car was driving up the hill next to the park. We all watched it go slowly up, wondering what they were thinking. Then we noticed a car in the parking lot across the high school field next to the basketball courts. But we chose to ignore them (costly mistake). We wrapped Wilson up in underwear, doused it in lighter fluid, and Hank lit it. It caught quickly, but didn't flame up that great at first. But one kick of the ball changed that.
It flared up big time. With every kick, the flames intensified. It looked just like a fireball or small comet. We all had fun kicking it. But the fun didn't last... not even for a full minute ("Just like sex", says Josh [N.]). Those people in the parking lot we neglected to take into consideration were the buzzkillers. All of a sudden we hear yelled from that direction...

"THAT SHIT'S ILLEGAL! WE'RE CALLING THE COPS!"

Fuck.

Enter buzzkill.

Joe and Hank bolt for the cars, I go toward the dugout where all our shit is, Holly is trying to put the ball out with dirt.. We told her to forget it and all ran for her car. We dove in and booked it out of there, ball still ablaze on the field.

In need of a place to escape the fuzz, we settle on Ryan's. Pete was already there. We recant our tale to them... and in some bizarre turn of events

We plan a kidnapping. Not only did we plan it, but we gave every one a job and even practiced it. I hope Holly either hid or destroyed the paperwork she recorded otherwise we're in for a dilly of a time if Ryan's dad or someone else finds it.

Ryan had to work in the morning, so we left at 9:00 and headed back to the field to pick up our stuff. But when we got there, the ball and the extra pairs of underwear were nowhere to be found. The lighter fluid, however, still remained. This was strange. Where could it have possibly gone? Strange.
Joe was getting hungry, so we all went to Burger King (blech...) Holly and I both got just a soda. We sat in and began just talking and hanging out. We ended up staying and sharing stories for over an hour in the restaurant. On the way out, we had thoughts of stealing a window decal on the front door of Spongebob with his mouth wide open ... (I'm ready! [/inside joke]). With plans to meet back at 2:00 when BK was closed to lift it, Joe, Holly, and I all backed out as we were all tired and didn't want the cops called on us twice in one night. Pete said that he went anyway and it was actually still open, so we would've been screwed over anyway.

[Today, I learned the the person who busted us at Remich worked with Ryan. She was complaining that "a couple of kids were burning a tree".]

SATURDAY

Could've rivaled Friday for best day of the weekend if it wasn't for Flaming Soccer.

Woke up at 11:00... Was gearing up for a "road trip" back to Lyndon so I could get some stuff I forgot at my dorm. Holly had hinted to me that while she thought she was going to Concord, she wanted to accompany me there, to which I obliged. She brought with her a box of gushers and her camera for Photo class. We were downing the gushers like nothing. Whenever I wanted a gusher, I'd tell her the appropriate saying.. "Gush me!".. We arrive at my the Gray House, I grab the things I needed (some blank cds, my N64, and a pair of socks... wtf) and we're out the door again. More tunes were cranked and more gushers gushed on the way back.
We decided we were going to the basketball jamboree that was going on to see Cassie play. Of course, the 3 other teams that were in the jamboree were our 3 biggest foes: Lisbon, White Mountain Regional, and Profile. Profile was nothing... They're not even in the same division as Littleton. But since we're neighboring towns, they figure they'd just add them in the mix. L-Town thoroughly 0wned Profile. Lisbon has a girl who has been notably a rival of many a L-Town player; Christy Hartwell. When Littleton schrimaged Lisbon, Holly and I silently began chanting "Christy Hartwell blows blows blows!". We did it every time she missed a shot. And when she was injured (she was faking it... or being a pansy about it) as well. After Littleton played all 3 of them, Holly and I left.
As soon as I got home, I reported to Ryan's house where he requested my presence. When I arrived, Joe and Pete were already there watching Battle Royale. We watched that, then headed into the garage where we played pool, listen to tunes, and hit it up on my guitar and his drumset. Holly joined us, and Ryan's dad bought us pizza shortly after. We hung out until 8:45 when we went to watch the Incredibles. We went back up to Ryan's house despite the now sleet/snow/slush mix it was dumping on us now. Holly left right away, but we all hung around for one more round of pool.

SUNDAY

My cell phone woke me up at 11:00. Cassie wondered if I wanted to go to lunch with her and Ryan, to which I accepted (of course). She picks me up, and head to Applebee's. After lunch, we went up to Ryan's house to chill for about an hour. Cassie leaves... That's when Ryan and I got down to business. We started to get practicing on the tracks we're planning to put on a cd (oh, by the way, I've been planning a "follow-up", if you will, to Cheez Doodles. Only this one is a lot more elaborately set up, and it's going to come out a lot better. Cheez Doodles was really experimental and done very sloppily in a span of 2 weeks. This new project has already been in the works for over a month). We work together and try to put the keyboard part and guitar part together on a song. After it was moderate, Ryan IM'd me later tonight and said he has it nailed down to the teeth. So next time we play should be good.
Next couple hours were spent watching football. Bopha calls me and tells me of her return... and her abyssmal boredom. She asks to hang out, to which of course I want to. She pulls up, I hop in, and we're off. We head to Pete's house and pick him up. After driving around aimlessly, we decide to play a game of follow that car. Rules.. find a car and follow it. The one car we did was insane. We were up on the upper etch of School Street that we turn onto following an old lady in a Ford Taurus. She turns makes a couple of turns and ends up on Main Street. When she hits Main Street, she makes an almost immediate right, which is ironically right back on School Street. We expect her to turn somewhere, but she doesn't. She goes right back to where we started... The old lady just did a big circle. What the hell.
We head to Shaws to pick up some Dew. The beautiful sight of a "3 for $9" sign greeted us. We took advantage of that deal, then it was off to the hospital to wait for Ryan to get off work, and actually ended up passing him on the way there. So Bope turns around as I call him asking him if we could chill there. After a rejection, we settle on Pete's house where we watch "Battle Royale" again. Not as good as watching it the first time, but still quite entertaining.

Didn't have to worry about going back to Lyndon State seeing that I have the entire week off. w00t! factor at a raised level! :D

Joe also wrote a great entry on the awesomeness of the weekend.

Only 3 pictures made it out of this weekend.
