Winter Carnival pits Class vs. Class...
yep, so Winter Carnival activities have kicked off... and the class of 2004 ... (hollah..!) take the commanding lead after day 1. Won many events... including Scott L. winning musical chairs for the third straight year... and we take Winter Carnival seriously cuz hey.. face it, we wanna win... but there's some who take it faaaar too seriously.. after Scott won, there was almost a brawl between a few seniors and juniors... literally. Luke H., who had previously been bumped out of a chair by Brian W. (a junior), in celebration bumped Brian.. so he shoved Luke.. and Justin P. shoved Brian... bleachers clear..., but no fists were thrown... cooler heads prevailed.. And later during.. I forget what event, but I saw Brian make peace and share a laugh with Justin and Luke... so, all was good... but after the incident, you really have to think about it......
only in L-Town High could you almost have a fistfight between classes... over musical chairs....
Anyway.. the only event I participated in was the aptly named "Name that Tune".. The chorus teacher played tidbits of songs on the piano and you buzz in and name that song, obviously.. 1 point for each song you get correct... easy enough. ... Wow, did I pick the right event to be in... the seniors (there were 2 others with me representing for NTT) friggin smoked the competition.. of 30 tunes, we finished with 17 correct.... I know I myself answered 9 of them. The definite highlight was when he started playing Stairway to Heaven... and everyone was dumbfounded cuz he played the first like 5 or 6 notes.. (he said he only played one measure of it), I got it... Most of the songs I got I knew by default cuz they were songs that everyone knew (or at least, i thought eveyone knew..)... but songs like "New York, New York"... "I Can't Help Falling in Love"... .... then other ones I got by being a big brother to two younger sisters (i.e.: I see every Disney movie that comes out whether i want to or not :-P) .. e.g.: "Beauty and the Beast", etc. So, nailed that competition easy.. The sophomores were 2nd place with a grand total of.. 7 ... haha, i scored more by myself than the entire sophomore team ^_^. My joy for the day...
So yeah, other than that... and going to the faculty volleyball game (who friggin smoked EVERYONE tonight >_>), that was my day.... I think I pulled or bruised something in my foot though... cuz it hurts like no one's business right now.. i can barely apply pressure to it.. i'm pretty much walking on the side of my foot.....
Anyway, the EXCITING conclusion of the Winter Carnival games .... COMING TOMORROW!
