easters
Haven’t done a real update in some time, and by real I mean text based, so I suppose I may as well.
Today is Easter and I’m sick, congested and at work during this rainy thundery Chicago Sunday. Sickness and annoyances put aside, things are well with me, Forceful Mastadon seems like it’s going to have a 5 song EP out with in the coming week and I’ll be scheduling the first semester of my Junior year here at SAIC soon enough. The results of the Advanced Sculpture applications should be out before that, so soon that anxiety will be relieved. It’s simultaneously startling and relieving that my time here at SAIC is nearly halfway through, only a few more winters to battle through on bicycle, and hopefully a few more summers of spirit crushing heat and humidity.
SUMMER, SUMMER, SUMMER, PRAGUE, PRAGUE, PRAGUE. I’m excited. The only shame is that 2 months in eastern Europe means less time spent with friends in a California summer, but oh well…
In other news, I went to Georgia over our schools meager 4 day spring break. Even with the less than desirable travel time/relaxation time ratio, my two companions and I managed to make it quite a trip. Driving from Chicago to Georgia in the span of 15-18 hours was quite an experience, and never had I seen so many ominous metallic and/or spired crosses on the horizon. Baptists are a strange breed, enough said. At the home of my friend Chris Powers we cannoed in the river right next to his house and saw beavers and river otters, Chris even found a skull, and proceeded to tell us that he thought up the skull. Skulls are his idea, don’t even think about them, they are his. Hehe. Aderall truly makes a car trip, that, Don Cherry and maybe Lighting Bolt/Hella. PUMP UP BITCHES PUMP UP
