(no subject)
I have graduated from being a bad live journal friend to being a bad internet friend in general. I have not checked my space in at least a month, fortunately sweet Eric does that for me, but I get on there and don't recognize 1/2 the messages in the inbox! I have emails that I haven't responded to in weeks, that I really need to respond to because mostly concerning wedding stuff, and I have yet to join the san antonio swim academy's bookkeeping system... I was hired in Feb. So I have a hard time doing connective things. The few hours I spend at home each day while Eric's not there I prefer to lay on my wonderful couch and nap with the cat.
I have started yoga, which is enjoyable since I do nothing else active, except swimming, which doesn't work really when it is 60 degrees outside and the pool is brown and leaf-y. This two job stuff is great for keeping busy but not so great for social life. We finally have made new friends in SA and I have seen them once because when I'm not working or in school, I'm either with Eric and we're tired, or I'm by myself and tired. We had our neighbor and her boyfriend over for dinner last week and they are good people. Then a girl I work with has adopted us but she has 3 kids and goes to bed early. I was really looking forward to friends here since all of ours are either in Austin or Odessa, but we just haven't had the time, hopefully things will slow down.
We also recently purchased a camcorder! It is great fun, I promised my stepdad I wouldn't make internet-porn-movies. We played some video on the tv and the cat freaked out when he saw himself. This weekend will be tons of movie-making-fun!
Adam, I don't know if you do lj anymore but I really hate to see you go. We've been trying to talk it up about how you will be better not waiting tables, and we know you need a change, and we can go to the science spectrum in Lubbock, but in actuality I'm pretty upset you're leaving.
