Winter fun

So as it would turn out, my entire life in Odessa I can think of it snowing 3 times. Three times in 19 years. And wouldn't you know it that as soon as I move away it snows... a lot. We're supposed to have snow here but I am not holding my breath.
Our heater kinda sucks, the warmest it has been in the house the past few days was about 62 degrees. Even though that is a hell of a lot warmer than the 19ish degrees it was the other night, it still sucks. So we have been buying fire wood... ahem... taking firewood from outside HEB and trying to light a fire in our little stove. But the logs we got are too big for the stove and do not fit and therefore do not light. So its cold. But I love cold. Winter is the best time. We bought hot cocoa and apple cider and chili the other day and I made Christmas cookies. I tried to make candy but failed miserably. Our Christmas tree looks so nice now that the cat goes into 'time out' everytime we leave the house. That way he can't climb it. He mauled our tree the last time we left him alone. I briefly 'fixed' it but I think its toast.
I also bought some more decorations the other day. I thought I would be in trouble because I told Eric I would only spend $15 and I ended up spending about $45... whoops... but he was very sweet about it. We rented movies yesterday and sat around all day and ate chili and drank warm drinks and were lazy and today we are playing video games and being lazy.
I can't wait to see family when we go to Odessa. I wish we could get in touch with B&C so we can see them while in the Big O.
Speaking of if you see this Blaise... I had a dream with you two in it last night. You two were having some kind of party at some sort of mall with a PetSmart in it. There were all sorts of casseroles and things there and Scott was there. Also, Blaise, you were about 6 feet tall and Charles was about 9. It was bizarre.
We miss Adam and Jada lately... Jada is coming down next weekend and we will have lots of fun, but I haven't seen Adam in a long time. And it sure would be nice to talk to Jeffy-poo.
At work the other day I got a random text message from some San Antonio # that I did not recognize and so I called it back and it was one of my friends from Odessa! She is going to UTSA and lives here. I had no idea.
Also, I go to orientation for school next week... they sent me a parking permit in the mail along with a 'map' of the campus. It is absurdly huge. I am nervous about getting lost. I decided next semester I will take classes that have absolutely nothing to do with my major. It should be fun!
