When you finally understand the motion of a hand

Last night, three other guys and I decided that we were going to go rock climbing.
"Oh rock climbing, there must be lots of cliffs around Helena, that’s cool,” you are thinking to yourself. Well yes in fact there are. But, we decided it would just be easier to stay on campus.
" Wow, cliffs on campus, that must be a pretty cool campus." you obviously must now be thinking to yourself. Well...their aren't really any cliffs on campus, but hey, what are old buildings made out of? Oh yea you guessed it, rocks. So the four of us decided to climb St. Charles hall, its this huge old five story building that was built in the early nineteen twenties as the main college; its up on this hill above everything else. If you are one of the regular readers, this is the same building that the guitar guy played in front of.

WE taped our toes; apparently if you tape your second and middle toe together it gives you a lot more strength. And then we chalked our hands. With blue chalk of course, making it easier to find our past "routes" the next time made an attempted ascent.

I followed Krister up to the first floor after trying unsuccessfully numerous times on one side of the building, apparently there was one part of the wall that was just too hard to get above a certain point on because it was two difficult to "match" on the ledge. I’m picking up this lingo rather quickly don't you think? Ha!

AS we proceeded around to the front of St. Charles, we discovered two chimneys. Now in rock climbing terms, chimneys are anything that resemble a traditional chimney on a house or building, in this case though, it actually was a chimney. I made it up to the second floor before deciding to come down. It was rather exciting. Our goal is to make it to the fifth floor w/out getting caught.

In our spare time, we are starting a skydiving club.

B.

p.s. I am going to my first GSA meeting tonight, I put this here to relieve anyone’s fears of me turning into a heterosexual. Nope, I’m way over the rainbow kids, and don't you forget it. Oh yea, one more thing, the guy that started the GSA here at Carroll last year is friends with Hunter, Eli's X.
