First let me wish you all a happy new year.
Well man yesterday was fun. I went to the Rose Bowl Game. Damn was that a nail bitter.
We left home at about 9 in the morning to go to our friends house. We hung out there till 10:30 and then they gave us a ride to the gold line. we hoped the trian from mission up to memorial station. from there we walked down to walnut and the over a couple more streets and into the bowl. on they walk over we found three other michigan fans among a complete see of orange. we walked around for a bit then at like 12ish we went in to the stadium. we found our seats and then i got up and walked around everywhere i went was all texas fans. when i got back to my seat i watched early outs, guys warming up,then at 1:30 i went back to my seat for pre game festivities. Those included both bands playing and a fly over by a B-58, B-31, F-16, F-either 14 or 18. then some people were introduced. Then the national anthem was sung and a B-52 bomber flew over. Before the game i looked around the stadium and saw that two thirds of it was Texas and only a third were Michigan. the game was fun everyone cheering, booing, yelling, cursing, drinking, eating celebrating. Neither team had an awsome defense but the offenses did fine. The end of the game was in sane. There was 37 seconds on the clock the score was 37-35 Michigan. it was 3rd down and ten for texas from like the 15. Texas ran the clock down to two seconds called a time out and set up for a field goal.Lloyd Carr, Michigan head coach, took two time outs to ice the kicker. Then the play started and michigan got in and tipped the ball. it looked like it would be short. i let out a sigh of relief just to see that the ball had just enough lift to edge over the goal post. i was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I think that Lloyd made a mistake in the end. He shouldve used one time out with 37 seconds left. Then let Texas try for the first. if they stopped them take another time out. probably leaving you with 27 seconds left. then they take the field goal, if they miss it u win if they make it you get the ball back. Then on the kick off you let Breston run it back to the 50, which he had done all game. With that there would be about 20 seconds on the clock. With that much time Henne could go for 2 or maybe 3 plays. And i would throw to Braylon Edwards. But he maybe double teamed, if so then you through to Breston. Either way this would provide an opportunity to win. Too bad Michigan didnt win but still any game that goes back and forth and ends 38-37 is a college classic. well thats all for now take care.
