Brenton, I'm so glad for you! You would make a wonderful teacher, and I'm glad that you found something in this life that you really want. I'm sorry that college has been going so hard for you, but I want you to know that I love you sooo much and that I support your decision. I know you can do it! You can conquer ANYTHING. I know how you feel about the "family" feelings at school. I felt that way in Decathlon, too, and I miss it alot. I miss YOU alot. We had good times together...making 20 bags of popcorn, barnes&noble, decathlon meets, lock-ins in the library, impromptus, and chief seattles...Man, I'm glad I moved away this year because Tuloso just wouldn't have been the same without you. And I'm not just saying that, I'm dead serious. You were a major part of Tuloso for me. So, thanks. I know I'm hard to get along with sometimes, but you dealt with me. Just like I know you can deal with all those kids who will be in the classes you teach! Good luck!
Brent, I'm happy for you too. I think you are going to make an awesome teacher! And I can say I know how you feel. I'm like that with my mom too. When I am home alone or even when the kids are home and she isn't...it feels so wierd and empty...almost creepy. That is why being here in NY so far away from my family is so hard for me. I miss everyone SOOO MUCH!! Not only my mom, but I miss all of you guys bunches! I miss AD and the hammond's ap classes! (what ever happened to that movie we were supposed to make lol?) But anyways...those experiences are what shape a person, those people really are family. And I am glad that you are getting things together by becoming a teacher. I think it's great! HAHA maybe one day we'll work at the same school...because I'm almost surely going to end up being a music teacher! lol and maybe we can co-coach AD!!!
i love the idea of you being a teacher.. and a math teacher at that! all i have to say is that i think you will really enjoy the sense of family that does come from the teaching classes! I know i have been in several teaching classes (and math classes.. and math ed classes) and i know, that the people in those classes are going to be in my classes for the next semester.. and the next and so forth.. so, we have a chance to bond as we get to know each other day in and day out in all the classes!
i hope you enjoy this new major! but you might want to make sure you beat me to TM ;) just kidding..
