The Ghana Chronicles: Season II
I'm in Ghana now! The plane ride was freakishly long. First I flew from Orlando to Detroit, and we were late coming in so I literally had to run across the airport to make my flight to Amsterdam. I got to fly business class and it was really nice. The seats went all the way back and I had lots of leg room so I even managed to sleep a couple hours on the plane. In Amsterdam I had a 5 hour layover. I wanted to go out and see the city but I didn't know if I'd make it back in time so I just sat around the airport in a comatose state. Dutch is the weirdest sounding language. Not very pretty. The most amusing thing in the airport was a trashcan that said "Dank U." Maybe I'm weird, but I found that funny. Ok, so then I flew to Ghana. My Dad picked me up at the airport and I waited an hour for my bag. I will never check a bag again. I got to skip customs though, cause my dad has a diplomatic badge. Awesome. I really haven't done all that much but sleep and sit around the house since then. We have a couple decent shows here, Malcolm in the Middle, Who's Line, guess that's it... I went to the gym yesterday and I have tkd tonight. We have a holiday today, and I start work at the Embassy tomorrow. I'm only working part time cause the boredom of a full day of filing and data entry would probably do me in. My mom's planning our trip to Europe and it's going to be so fun. We're going to Holland, Germany, London, Paris and Normandy. Ok, guess that's all for now. If you want a postcard from here, or any of the other places I'm going, email me your address.
