Alpha Con - Part 4...
So… let’s get to the last part, shall we? :-) I mean, it’s not THAT much anymore - I think - but we’ll see how it turns out in the end, right? :P
There was only 1 more photo op planned for me - Ian Bohen’s - and that one was only happening because I spontaneously bought a 2nd photo with him on Saturday. The reason for it was - despite the crappy quality - I was completely in love with our photo, and so yeah, I just had to. Also, because I wanted him to sign that picture I bought another autograph. Obsessed a little bit? Hell, no! :P
But let’s just start at the beginning ;-)
Hadn’t it been for me and my Ian Bohen shooting we could have left an hour later, but well, Ian’s first shooting started at 10, I wanted to be there and so we got up around 7.30 again and left home around 8.30 to get Fabiola. And then we brought Fabiola to the trainstation since she had decided to skip the last day since she mostly was there for the TVD guys and they weren’t there anymore on Sunday. So yeah. There’s that.
We said good-bye to Fabiola and drove to the pyramid again, arriving there around 9.30 - and for a change, the doors were already opened.
Isabel decided that - even though she didn’t have any photo ops anymore - to wait with me in line for Ian’s photo since the 1st panel wouldn’t start until 11. Which she then did. And for the FIRST TIME at this convention there was someone there knowing what they were doing. Like SERIOUSLY.
It was the FIRST time there were created 4 queues for Ian’s shooting, separated into ticket categories, first VIP, then Alfa, Beta & Gamma, so there were 4 lines and it was PERFECT and everyone totally accepted that. Seriously, they should have done that the first moment the convention started. With all the photo ops and autographs.
But I heard some fans (aka other attendees who had helped out at several conventions) had kind of “taken over”. Even my friend Kasia was a helper now and they kind of “promoted” the people who wanted to help to helpers and it worked out SO much better, even though some of them had never even been to a convention before, but for ONCE everyone knew what was going on and how to handle things.
Okay, to be fair: it might have something to do with the fact that most people already had their photo ops and autographs and there wasn’t so much afflux anymore, but still… it was way better organized than the days before.
There were only 3 VIPs in line for Ian’s photo anymore btw. - so it was my turn pretty quickly and I was nervous as hell. I wasn’t even sure what exactly I wanted to do and had completely given up on the “showing pictures” thing… when I went to him and he looked at me he said “Oh, hello again, darling” and I smiled at him saying “good morning”. He then asked me what I wanna do and I spontaneously asked “Can we hug, but not look into the camera but each other?” and he grabbed me by the hips, pulling me close, looking at me asking “like that?” - I wrapped my arms around his neck and said “it’s perfect”. I’m still surprised I didn’t pass out to be honest, because OMG… those eyes… I know I’ve mentioned it before, but I just can repeat myself: Ian is one hell of a sexy bastard and keeping looking at him for several seconds was not as easy as it might sound.
I’m pretty much happy with how the picture turned out in the end. It’s definitely one of the best photo ops I’ve ever done and I’m so proud of it. The picture is also already on my wall, alongside with 7 others of my favourite pictures during that weekend - aka I didn’t put up all of my pictures, only 8 out of 15, but my wall looks great like that. =D

Anyways… let’s move on… XD
After Ian and me took the picture I told him “see you at the autographs” and he was like “I guess then we’ll see once more, see you later” - He’s the absolute best.
Apart from the autographs, there was nothing else planned anymore, and so Isabel and me decided to walk around until the first panel (Dylan’s) would start, which we did.
We would have never survived to already sit down around 10.15 (when I was done with my Ian photo), because, even though that gets old by now, it was SO.DAMN.HOT and it was almost unbearable. I felt so sorry for all the stars that had to sit there on the stage with all those spotlights around them and such but at least they had fans to get a bit of air. And cold water, although the ice they put into those buckets melted within minutes, so I highly doubt the water was cold for a very long time.
That glass pyramid might have looked good from the outside, kind of classy, but inside it was a sauna, and I was just glad I didn’t have to take any pictures anymore that day, because as much as I loved to stand next to the stars, it couldn’t have been great for them to have to hug all those sweaty people and such. They did make the best of it, though.
For whatever reason (I really don’t know), Dylan’s panel started at 11.30 instead of 11 (not that this is any new thing) and he’s SUCH a sweetheart. And at the same time you could tell that he was PRETTY nervous and that he didn’t enjoy it THAT much to be up there all alone. In the group panel the day before he was way more relaxed, and same goes for the “Hobrien” Panel later that day. And besides: it’s his first ever convention. He never did something like that before (and I don’t think you can compare it to those “Cons” he did in London, since he was never alone and didn’t really take photo ops and such), so for a complete con newbie, he did a really good job and always tried to give the best answers. He was actually pretty cute. I enjoyed listening to him and hearing him talk about all those things… like for example when he was asked what makes him happy and he said that acting makes him happy, and that being around the people he loves does too (aka his family and girlfriend) and it was just really adorable.
While Dylan’s panel there was a text showing up on the big screen that told what was going on right now - like that JR was taking pictures or something like that. Seriously, they just came up with that on SUNDAY? When the Con was almost over? Because those things had never happened before and it would have been SO much easier and better organized if we could have seen on the screen what was going on. Now we did.
I did get a “little bit” furious when all of a sudden the text was “Ian and Tyler doubles, everyone who missed them yesterday…” blabla… SERIOUSLY? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You idiots told me the day before that if I miss this one, I won’t get another chance and that no matter how out of breath and exhausted I am, I have to take that picture that day and THEN you dare to do another one since obviously people DID miss it? Well, thank you VERY much.
I’m just glad my Tyler/Ian pic didn’t turn out all too bad (although I still think I look quite strange because my hair is quite deranged, but well…), but if I had known I could have taken the pic on Sunday I would have… oh well…

Next panel after Dylan’s was Daniel’s “solo” panel… and god, I love this guy SO fucking much… just sitting there and staring at him was completely awesome. Because all of the seats in “row 1” were taken (row 1 was VIPs, then there was about 2 metres in between, and 2 rows of Alfas - so I mean row 1 of the Alfas), and there were two stools right behind the VIP row Isabel and me decided to just take those 2, and if someone complains or says something we would go… so we were even closer to the stage than before and it was absolutely incredible.
And no one EVER said something.
Although that day the seating arrangements were completely messed up anyways. Everyone was sitting where he pleased and no one said a words. There were even Gammas sitting in front of us in the VIP row, but since no one said anything… well… And personally, I didn’t really mind that much either, since we really had good places that day and I had Daniel pretty close in front of me. He’s even more gorgeous in real life than he could ever be in the show…
He was asked a lot of questions, for example about his role in “The Originals”, to which he replied that he can’t say much, but he promised that he won’t get killed off within 2 episodes, and said that he’s gonna stick around for quite a while. Whatever that means. He also said they hadn’t done much filming yet, so how big his role will be in the end, we probably just have to wait and see…
He also told us about Joseph Morgan and how he made this “Immortals” film with him before and that Joseph back then was a real kid (even though he wasn’t THAT much younger :P) and that seeing him again NOW after all those years was a huge difference because all of a sudden he didn’t have a boy in front of him but a man :P It was quite funny. He also said his favourite Original is Elijah (love him for that one, like SERIOUSLY, OMG :D)
He was also asked about soccer and the world cup and so on, but I didn’t pay much attention because I am SO not interested in sports at all, and so I have no idea about any of the teams or such. He was asked about his favourite team, I think, and he said something about Arsenal, if I’m not completely wrong, and that this team continues to break his heart over and over again and that he cried so many tears because of them… well… boys, I guess… :P
Daniel’s panel started 30 minutes “too late” either, btw. But well, that’s obviously a thing at this convention that nothing starts when it’s supposed to start ;-)

After Daniel’s there was the Dylan/Tyler Panel, and oh boy… those 2 guys are just SO perfect and have incredible chemistry, not only in Teen Wolf, but also on stage and whenever they are together and it was quite visible that Dylan felt a LOT MORE at ease with Tyler by his side. They were looking at each other almost all the time whenever they were asked something and at some point Dylan even started to “mimic” Tyler’s movements. He had his legs the same way Tyler had, he held the microphone in the same hand and so on. It was adorable to watch.
Some girls - instead of asking a question - had presents for them they wanted to give them. It were 2 “oscar statues” and they brought them to them on stage and both of those guys were just so happy and cheerful about it, hugged the two girls that gave them to them and then were like “What does yours say?” (Tyler asked that) and Dylan was like “Best actor ever” and Tyler replied with “mine too” and Dylan was like “Wait, something’s not right here, how can we both be best actor ever?” - it was actually kind of hilarious. Tyler called it a “tie” then… and it was just so sweet and nice and despite all the heat, they were in such a good mood.
Dylan was also asked about the sex-scene between Stiles and Malia and despite all the rumours going on around the internet: He DID confirm those 2 had sex. I know some people are saying something different and some people only heard what they wanted to hear, but it was clear to me that it came to this. Dylan DID explain that it should have been a “full on sex-scene” and that didn’t sit well with him and so he went to Jeff telling him that he wouldn’t do this. He explained that it should have been them literally ripping each other’s clothes off and very passionate and tongue whatsoever, and he didn’t want to do this because he didn’t want to have a sex-scene for the sake of sex and that’s why they made it more gentle and kind of faded out and with the hand holding and such. THAT was Dylan’s doing, but it was still them having sex.
I thought it was pretty awesome how he explained it, though, and it’s also great that Jeff listened to him and let Dylan “have his way” and not forcing him to do something he didn’t feel comfortable with. I love Dylan even more for that now.
One of my favourite moments was also when they were asked what their favourite scenes together were and Tyler explained that every scene with Dylan is awesome and that they just “clicked” since right from the start. He also said that he was sad that they barely had any scenes together in Season 3 (or rather 3B) and that he seriously hopes that will change again for Season 4 because he missed Dyl. :) I mean, seriously, how adorable :)
Also, they were asked if there was a scene they always wanted to do or still want to do at some point and Tyler was the one answering the question. Dylan was like “I don’t really know” and Tyler replied with “Of course you do, we talked about this” and then he started to explain what scene he would want to do. He said that it would be a scene with them in the jeep and that they would be looking for Stiles’ father because something had happened to him or such and Stiles being really freaked out and close to a panic attack and then they would pull over and Derek would just let Stiles hit him like a punching back.
I know it doesn’t sound very romantic, but the way Tyler described it in his mind sounded so heartbreakingly beautiful. He said that Dylan would hit him until he couldn’t go on anymore because of the exhaustion and then they would sink down together and such. And that Derek would totally do that for him, and that he’s a wolf and so he heals quickly and it wouldn’t matter but that this scene would totally connect them even more. He really still wants to do that scene. He felt like it would have fit the moment when Jennifer had kidnapped all the parents and Stiles was all freaking out, but hopefully they will find a way to do this scene at some point. I could totally picture it when he explained it.
It was another awesome panel and probably one of the best of the whole convention, even though I’m not even the biggest Dylan or Tyler fan but they are both so awesome and so full of energy and make everyone smile around them. Especially Tyler is a complete sunshine and it’s just really great to watch them together.
I also didn’t know beforehand that Dylan and Tyler (and Posey too) used to live together for a while and Tyler said that he misses that. That he misses seeing them in the morning and everything since they film somewhere different now and now don’t have to live together anymore, because it was the best time of his life.
They also said they had made friends for life on the Teen Wolf set and that this is something no one will ever take away from them, no matter how long Teen Wolf will go on… made me all go awwww… ;-)

After that panel there was a lunch-break again and - what else is new? :P - I got another sandwich and water from the buffett and sat down on the stairs with Isabel. Since that was the only place with a bid of shadow and it was a lot cooler and more bearable there. I left my bag on my chair, though, because I was scared someone would sit down there and I wouldn’t have that good of a seat anymore afterwards… *lol*
After the lunch break it was time for the triple panel of Tyler, JR and Ian. Supposedly it should have started at 3.00 p.m. but since everything else started 30 minutes later, this didn’t start before 3.30 either.
And again, it was SUCH a great panel… those 3 guys are awesome together, and watching them pick on each other and be like this was so refreshing and funny. They even stayed like 10 minutes longer than they were “supposed to stay” since there were still so many people with questions for them and they all said they wanted to finish with those questions. I mean, how awesome is that? They wanted everyone to have a good experience at this convention and even though the last few questions were pretty rushed, they still tried their very best to satisfy everyone. And they DID get the questions done, so… ;-)
One girl asked them to all make a grumpy face and say a line Derek Hale had said, and Ian and JR couldn’t quite come up with something and so Tyler was like “I’m gonna give you a line” and then he said “I’m gonna rip your throat out with my teeth” :D Ian had to start with the “grumpy cat face” and the line and then JR did and Tyler too. It was HILARIOUS. Especially Ian. OMG, really :D I never knew he could look like that… I laughed so hard, it was difficult to keep taking pictures with having so much fun during the panel.
Someone also asked JR if he had to kill someone, either Derek or Peter, who it would be… and when he was about to answer he turned to Ian and then he was all like “Oh no, I can’t answer that. Have you seen his puppy dog eyes? I can’t say I would kill Peter if he looks at me like that”… Oh God, really, it was so adorable, especially the face Ian made… oh boy.
JR then said “Okay, as Chris Argent, if I had to kill someone, I would kill Peter, but as JR I would kill them both” *lol* Now THAT was great :P
There was also a talk about “Peter” and Ian said the only character on the show he would think twice about killing was Stiles. He would kill Cora or Derek or even Malia without blinking if it brought him closer to his goals, but Stiles… well… Ian thinks Peter sees too much potential in Stiles to kill him. That was a surprising answer, but also a good one =D
Towards the end of the panel Daniel kinda crashed the panel, hugging everyone and such. I don’t even know why he showed up. I thought it was probably because he had to leave early, but that wasn’t the case. It was just really sweet to see them all together on stage. I think he was just lonely because he had just finished his last photo shoot and there was no one else there anymore, no one he could talk to, so he had to come and find his buddies :D (No idea where Dylan was, though, maybe still shooting :P)

There was a break for about an hour after the triple panel and then there was another autograph session.
This time there were queues for the actors, to make it easier. If there were people only in need for 1 autograph anymore, they just had to get in line for that person, and if someone had more than 1 autograph they had to start at the beginning. Again: It was SO much better organized than before and I am really glad the girls took over, because they obviously DID know what they were doing (unlike the Alpha Girls), so yeah.
Like I mentioned before: I had only an Ian autograph anymore and I was the 2nd in line, so it didn’t take me very long to get to him. I showed him the picture, smiling at him and he looked up at me saying “Oh my god, we look awesome in that picture” and I was like “You look awesome” and he replied with “no, seriously, WE look good” and I agreed with him (because what else was I supposed to say?) and he asked me for his name although he did know who I was. I also told him that this is now the 5th time I’m with him during that convention and he must think I’m a stalker by now. He said “Oh no, I actually like that” *lol* Ehm… yeah. I think he just wanted to be nice. I also told him that I might see him again at “Wolf’s Bane” and he replied with “That would be great”… and yeah… then I left to go back to Isabel.

Again we sat down at the stairs and talked to kill time until the closing ceremony that was supposed to start at 6 p.m.
Usually I’m used to closing ceremonies being 45 to 60 minutes long. Well… not this time. But that wasn’t really surprising and I almost expected this so called “closing ceremony” to be done after 5 minutes. Especially since it was the same with the so called “opening ceremony”, so it wasn’t a huge surprise that after Jamie announced the guys that were still there on stage (aka Daniel, JR, Ian, Tyler) they only said a few words and then this whole mess of a convention was over.

Isabel, Kasia and me went to McDonalds again to have one last meal because we were all hungry, Viktoria was already on her way home. Her uncle had picked her up from the convention around 2 and we didn’t even have a chance to say good-bye to her, but well…
We talked about the convention for a bit and left to go home around… I think 7.30 or something like that after we also said good-bye to a few other people we met during the convention.

We went home and after taking a shower (again, not together :P) we enjoyed the rest of the evening with watching some SUITS and went to bed “early” (well, around 11.30 but considering how late it was all the other evenings, that WAS early! :P).
Kasia would leave the next day and we had decided to do some sightseeing again, and so we got up around 8.30, left home around 9.30 and went to Vienna, to the Prater, where we took a ride in the huge Ferris Wheel that is a landmark of Vienna before we brought Kasia to the train and then Isabel and I went back home.
We spent the evening chatting and watching some more SUITS (managed to watch until episode 2x01 - so yeah, we got pretty far and I would say we got her hooked) and the next day Isabel had to leave as well…
And that was it… Mostly.
I know I should probably feel the “post convention blues” everyone else feels, but somehow I don’t. I mean, I do miss the girls and it was quite strange to “get back to my life” after a week being surrounded by all those people and having a wonderful time with the stars of my favourite tv-shows, but I also don’t feel like I ever wanna do an “Alpha Con” again…
Besides: I’m still trying to find a way to make “Wolf’s Bane” happen SOMEHOW… I just know I HAVE TO do this… Because it most likely will be the last convention I’ll be doing in a while.
Unless I find a job quickly, but with every passing week, with every passing month, it gets harder and harder, because the longer you’re out of work, the more difficult it gets to find someone that is willing to hire you :/ :’( *sighs* I really need that…
I know I said that before Alpha Con too, but since this one wasn’t the best experience for me I will do everything now to make it to “Wolf’s Bane” to see Ian and Daniel and Tyler (mostly) one more time. Right now I just don’t really have the opportunity to do much of anything since I’m still sick and even my doctor told me that I have to stay at home for a couple of days and just get better. And that’s what I plan on doing…
So yeah… now you basically know “everything”… ;-)
