Bloody Diaries Convention - Day 3 (09.06.2013)

Jun 11, 2013 16:12

Onto the last day, shall we? :-)

Like I've already said: It had been a pretty short night... I've been in bed around 1:30 and at 6:07 a.m. Marie's "nice birds" woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep. I tried, I tried really hard, but they were just too loud for someone who isn't used to that kind of noise. I have 3 cats, but usually they are quiet as long as I'm asleep, so yeah... *lol*

I stayed in bed playing with my mobile phone and such until about 8 when Marie got up and then I got up too...

For this day we decided to leave her home a little later since there "only" would have been another autograph session from 10 to 12 and some workshops and lectures we weren't interested in...

The "first thing to do" would have been the Dvid Anders Photoshoot at 12...

And I have to tell a little story about that one, since it was completely unplanned... XD

I had bought 4 photo ops with David beforehand and it should have been way enough, but after this story at the autographs AND because the one pose I wanted most I wasn't able to tell David, I decided I wanted to get another photo op. Only problem: My "cash card" didn't work, and so I had NO access to my bank account :/ And it was weekend...

So Marie offered me to borrow me the 25,- bucks (or rather 20, because I still had 10) to buy the photo op and I promised I would transfer the money to her on Monday (did yesterday, so yeah...), and seriously, she's my hero for that... I mean, I wouldn't have "died" if I hadn't gotten the 5th picture with David or such, but I would still have been pretty sad... so I'm quite glad she offered me to lend me the money and I could buy another photo Op with David...

We got ready, ate breakfast at Marie's place and then I had to pack my stuff, so we could leave for the last day of the convention, which we did around 10:30 or such... :-) Early enough since - like I said - there was not much happening apart from the autograph session...

We left my suitcase in her car and then entered the convention hotel.

Actually, I wanted to eat something BEFORE the last Photo Op with David, but then I was way too nervous, so we just walked around the Dealer's rooms and such and talked. We also met candream again. I think I forgot to mention that during the convention, I ran into candream a couple of times and we hang out quite a lot. Mostly me, Marie and her, sometimes I met Anna, too, but since she had completely other things to do than me, it was mostly Marie and Tabea I spent time with. And I talked to Sebastian (who I knew from Facebok) a couple of times... :-)

I left to line up for David's photo session around 11.45 and yeah, AGAIN, I got pretty nervous...

Another thing I have to say: I knew WHAT I wanted to do with David, so I downloaded a "pose picture" of it on my mobile phone in order to show it to him instead of explaining, because I wouldn't have known how to explain a pose like that... :)

People were lining up for him again, but it weren't THAT many... at least not at first... I had number 35, so that's a lot less than before, but the more time passed, the more people got into the room... =)

When there were only a few more people in front of me I took out my mobile phone and opened the pose and when it was finally my turn and I wanted to walk up to David, the guy said "Put away your phone" and I was like "I'm not taking a picture, I want to show my pose". He said something else I didn't quite get, but I didn't care either. I walked up to David and said "Can I have a pose like that?" showing him the picture and putting the phone away in my pocket and he said "Sure, let's try this"... and yes... that's how the very last of my pictures occured... and I'm seriously happy with the result to be honest. I still think I shouldn't have grinned like crazy, but I mean - who can blame me? I was happy XD

That was the very last photo op for that weekend, and yeah... after that things became REALLY relaxing... *lol* I went back to Marie and Tabea and ate something, and well... since the panel room wasn't open yet, we had to wait... the first panel would start at 1 p.m. and would be Mark Pellegrino's, and I was very looking forward to it. From that moment on I knew I would just go in there and relax at the Panels for the rest of the day... :-)

I ate something (because now I could XD) and afterwards we decided we should take some pictures of us, so we had some kind of memory :-)

First 2 pictures show Marie & Me an the 3rd one is with candream - was so nice to see her again, since the first time we met was AECON 3 :)

Finally they opened the Panel room and we could get in! :-)

Marie had one more thing to do since she had bought the Double Shoot with Ian and Paul, but since her "group" was the 2nd one she didn't have to leave until 1:15 or such, and so she followed me into the Panel room when they opened it and we sat down on the side (this time the other side becaues unfortunately "our places" were already taken and since we both wanted to sit on the side, we decided to sit on the other side of our block... so we had the chance to come and go when we wanted... :)

Mark's panel started on time and - like the first time - he was absolutely awesome and adorable, running around hugging people, getting some people on stage and even coming down to get to some other people. The microphone was right next to me and when two girls asked a question at said microphone, Mark came down, walking between the chairs and then he was standing right next to me, talking to the girls. Like 10 cm away from me and I could have touched him. Seriously, the guy is SUCH a sweetheart and I truly love and adore him. He was always trying to calm people down and he was seriously cute.

I wanted to ask a question, too, but I was unfortunately too late to "line up" at the microphones because when I would have been next, Mark Ferguson said that the question before me was the last one... DAMN! I should have lined up earlier, but somehow I wasn't sure whether to ask a question or not and when I finally made the decision, it was too late *lol* not that I'm incredibly sad or such, he probably wouldn't have had an answer anyways (I wanted to ask if there is a chance we'll see him back on Grimm at some point), so it's really okay that I couldn't ask my question anymore... :-)

During Mark's Panel Jim came on stage all of a sudden and we found out that he had to leave early because he had some other things to do and he had to catch a flight. I don't recall where he had to be, but in fact he wouldn't be there for the closing Ceremony, and so he had to say his good-byes right then sadly...

Mark's panel was over soon afterwards and next "in line" was David Anders and his Panel. Have I mentioned how much I love this guy? God, he's just seriously sooooooo so awesome and I'm just so thankful that I was able to meet him. David is such a sweetheart and SO funny... at some point he opened his jacket and said "Look at my t-shirt, it's a unicorn puking rainbows" *lol* He was quite proud of it :-) :D

He was coming on stage with sunglasses and sat down saying something like "I'm gonna take them off in 3... 2... 1..." and then nothing happened *lol* He took them off a little later, though :-)

I forgot to mention in my Saturday post that David sang during his panel. A song from Les Miserables. And it was AWESOME. It was absolutely incredible. I wasn't aware that he could sing THIS beautifully and I loved every single second of it. He gave me goosebumps and everything. He has SUCH a great voice. I don't recall what made him start singing in the first place because I don't remember the question that was asked, but I think it had something to do with movies or musicals, since after he sang he said something like "I should have been in Les Miserables"... he obviously loves this movie/musical very much but since I don't know it, I didn't know the song either ^^"

Anyways... there was this woman at the microphone at one point asking David if he would sing a duet with her, and he was like "I want to hear something from you" and then, OMG... she started singing and it was AWESOME. Incredible. She had SUCH a great voice. And she was moving towards the stage coming closer to David and he took her on stage and they talked for a moment and then she wanted to sing "Endless Love" with him, and when they did, she was all touchy and he giggle and laughed since she was touching his face and his hips and yeah... it was just funny and somehow also really adorable... :-)

Again, David's panel was absolutely awesome and he tried to answer all of the questions people asked him... he was asked about "uncle John" a lot and also if he prefers to play good or bad roles and he said that the bad roles are way more fun for an actor. He was also asked if there is any role or anything he would NOT play and he said "Porn" *lol* XD

He's also not utterly proud of his movie "Into the Blue"... I didn't find it THAT bad to be honest, but it wasn't really good either, so yeah, I understand that ... XD

Some girl asked him which fairytale character he is in "Once Upon a time" since she said only Season 1 aired here and she wanted to know and he was like "You REALLY want to know? You really want me to destroy like THE secret?" but when she said yes he told her that he was Victor Frankenstein ;-) She found it rather cool, and he also said he was totally on board when they told him who he would be... :)

David is such a funny and down to earth guy, I can't tell you how much I love him... :D

There was also one girl coming to the microphone saying: "Are you nervous?" and David was like "What?" and she was like "Are you nervous enough to need a calm down hug?" *lol* She quoted Mark, but of course David didn't know that. Mark Ferguson DID get it, though and so she could move to the stage and got a hug from David ;-) If I had known it was THAT easy, I would have asked for one too XD

David was drinking beer during his panel XD

You can't see it all too well, but David was showing his "rainbows puking unicorn" shirt here... and at the same time we found out that 2 of the panels were switched. Next should have been Ian's, but since they were still having photoshootings, they switched the panels up a bit...

And that's the woman singing a duet with David. I *SO* hope this will be on the DVD :-)

Next panel should have been Ian's, but like I wrote before: since they weren't finished with the photoshootings, they decided to do the Double Panel of Paul and his wife Torrey first, although there was about half an hour break, because they weren't really done with the double shoots either. Perfect opportunity for me to collect my pic with David... :-)

Around 3:30 the double panel with Torrey and Paul finally started, and god, Torrey is so beautiful, and the two of them were soooooo so adorable with each other. And SO funny. I said it once, I'm saying it again: I didn't think Paul could be THIS funny... it was simply adorable to watch them... :-)

They were asked what their favourite moment on the con had been and Paul said "To wake up next to Torrey every day"... I mean, how adorable IS that? It was soooooo so cute, like really... and Torrey was like "My god, you're so cheesy" *lol* And then she said "My favourite moment has nothing to do with you" *lol* And she said it was the moment we all sang "happy birthday" for her <3 So cute... she was so greatful for that... :-)

They were also asked how they met and Paul explained that it was when they were doing a movie a few years back and he saw her in the hotel lobby and was like "OMG, wow"... he also said that some of his friends had told him befeore that he was gonna love her and he was like "yeah, whatever", but when he finally saw her he was blown away. he was so incredibly sweet talking about her. he also said that she didn't like him very much in the beginning (which she confirmed) and that he had to put up a fight and try to get her for WEEKS until she finally gave in... :) SO adorable!

We als found out that Paul had only twice cooked for Torrey so far and that he isn't really a good cook *lol*

Torrey was asked then why she didn't change her name when she married Paul and if he doesn't have a problem with her not sharing his name, and Torrey explained that she IN FACT shares his name and legally is "Torrey Wasilewski", that this is the name in her passport, but that she had already made herself a name as Torrey deVitto, so she still goes with that name when it comes to filming business, but in "real life" she's fully his wife! awwwwwww! :-)

Torrey was also asked if she would prefer "Melissa" in Pretty Little Liars to be on "Team A" or a "good girl", but she said whatever it is, she'll love it, but being one of the "bad guys" would be quite fun. She also talked about "One tree Hill" and that she played some kind of psychopatic bitch in that show...

I've actually never seen it, so I have no idea, but obviously she was REALLY bad, because she told about one thing happening there "on set"...

She was practicing with some fake needles when Paul came visiting her and she wanted to play a prank on hi, so when he entered her trailer she took the fake needle and walked up to him, and he HATES needles and started running away from her and she was walking up to him veeeeeeeery slowly, with the needle in her hand and he was like "She looked COMPLETELY crazy" and he grabbed a water bottle and threw it at her and she was like "ouch, that really hurt" :D

Seriously, those two were SOOOOOOOO so funny to listen to... :D

Paul also said that Torrey gets a lot of money to be married to him, and that they have a contract and that she has to stay married to him for a couple more years and Torrey said she's doing it for the money *lol*

It was simply adorable... such a great couple and so much fun to watch them =)

Then it was FINALLY time for Ian's panel, although it was shortened from 60 to 30 minutes, but I mean, I think it's okay. Ian had been on his feet doing photoshootins and such almost the whole day, plus: Bloody*Con People obviously needed to get through with their program and the Closing ceremony would start at 5 p.m. - obviously they didn't want to push that to later all too much, so we got "only" 30 minutes of Ian's panel... :-)

And people were lining up like crazy for him, and of COURSE not everyone was able to ask his question, but Ian was great. He was asked for example why he created ISF (Ian Somerhalder Foundation) and such, and why it is so important for him to help animals and he explained willingly that humans are destroying our planet and that animals can't defend themselves and such... it was really great and he's really living for this cause and does a lot with ISF... This thing means a lot to him and he also talks quite a lot about it... it was touching to watch... =)

During Ian's panel one of the funniest things of the whole convention happened. David Anders & Malese Jow "crashed" Ian's Panel. All of a sudden when it was like "next question" it was DAVID AND MALESE standing at the microphone. I literally fell off my chair laughing, because David was crying and being all like "I'm SO nervous, I love you SO much Ian" *lol* Malese even posted a video of their "crashing" on her youtube canal, and I seriously have to share it with you because it was HILARIOUS! Seriously, it was one of the best things EVER XD

Those 2 were simply ADORABLE, and it made me smile so much. I found out afterwards that "friendship" is Ian's nickname for David (I don't know why, I would love to know the story!), so this was seriously cute XD

Best Panel Crashing EVER XD

Then it was time for the closing ceremony unfortunately... :/ Time to say good bye to the stars and to everyone. You have to know: People of iSF were collecting money for Ian's foundation before the convention and during the convention and would give him the check at the closing ceremony and there was also a "flashmob" planned... Kind of flashmob. There were white pieces of paper everywhere on the chairs and people should grab it and hold it up at a certain code word, and the people with the paper should form the word ISF (there wasn't paper everywhere) and it kind of worked out, and Ian was soooooo stunned. It was right after he got the check of 12,500 $ and he was soooooo so touched... last year he got 10,000 and this year even more and it was seriously awesome to see him like that... he was really stunned and he obviously didn't expect any of that... it was cute to watch! =)

After the Closing Ceremony I went outside with Marie and we stood there for about 15 minutes, because I wanted to wait for some people to say good by, for example Anna and candream - unfortunately, I didn't see candream anymore, but Anna came shortly afterwards. We took a picture as a memory and then I saw Sebastian Again, said good-bye to him too and went to Marie's car with her, because she would drive me to the airport... :-)

Conclusion: it was SUCH a great experience and I don't regret for a second that I decided to go there last year. It was so great and I love David even more now than I did before. He's a great guy and I'd love to see him again some day. And Torrey, too, but mostly David, I think...

I have to say, though, that there were some REALLY stupid people there... there was this one girl they called "flower girl" because she always had flowers in her hair, and her questions were just SERIOUSLY stupid a lot of times... in one of the first panels - I think it was Mark Pellegrino's - she asked "If a pinguin walked on stage and picked you, what would you do?" - I mean, SERIOUSLY? What the hell? Everyone remembered her by that question, though, and whenever she was at the microphone again Mark Ferguson was like "I know what she wants to ask, if a pick me penguin walked on the stage..." +lol+ It was funny the first couple of times, but then I personally just found it lame... but well...

Then there was this other girl, and seriously, she got on my nerves... she was lining up to ask some questions MANY times and then she just stood there, and wasn't able to form her question for MINUTES... either because she was so nervous, or because her english was so bad, I seriously don't know... and then the questions weren't even good, like one time she wanted to know how it is to work in a studio and they didn't even really know what exactly she wanted to know AND she couldn't explain either, and every time somene asked something back to clear up WHAT she meant she just STOOD THERE IN SILENCE. It drove me up the wall...

If you can't form a question the first time, DON'T TRY IT 10 TIMES MORE! The most annoying was when she tried to ask a question during the Ian and Paul panel... Seriously, the time she needed there would have been like at least 3 or 4 more questions answered. It took an eternity, almost 10 minutes until it FINALY was out and I'm quite sure it wasn't even exactly what she wanted to know...

I get that this thing makes people nervous, and that there are very young people, and you can call me an intolerant bitch, but this girl was unbearable, and everytime she was lining up again I was like "oh no, please NOT AGAIN! because it was like that every fucking time -.- One time she was standing at the microphone next to me and I was close to just kicking her out of the way... yeah, I'm a mean person, but it wasn't only annoying for us, it was visible that it also was for the stars...

At some point they even told her to ask the question in german, because someone could always translate it and they had some screens on stage for questions to be translated, but she wasn't even able to ask in german... *rolleyes*

It was a GREAT convention, but this was something that cost me my last nerve...

Some people had their questions written on paper or in their phones and I REALLY appreciated and apart from especially that one girl, the panels were great :-)

That's all... XD

I'm done :D

I hope, you enjoyed reading my reports, because I clearly enjoyed writing them and kind of "reliving" those memories :-)
