I've decided to deem Thursday, Random Prompt Day! I refuse to live in the reality of CM sans Emily. I generally love Jeanne Tripplehorn, but I hate her character. Instead, I will continue to watch reruns where Emily is still alive, around, and awesome.
This week's random prompts:
Reid/Prentiss (of course):
Emily's "date" with her hot tub was really a date with Reid.
After losing to Emily's Jacks over 3s, Reid requests a rematch. Emily agrees on one condition: a date.
Reid gets set up on a blind date, but the girl never shows. He bumps into Emily, and they hang out, instead. Emily eventually confesses that she was supposed to be his date.
As payback for suggesting she cozy up to Viper, Emily gets one of her friends to put the moves on Reid, then gets jealous when they start really dating.

Tis still Thursday in my neck of the woods... so, here are my crazy random and over-all ridiculous prompts:
1. Emily adopts Carrie from S3E4, and the girl ends up convincing her to try dating Reid just before she goes off to college. Carrie and Emily's relationship is the complete opposite of Emily's relationship with her own mother. Doyle never happened in the past or in the future.
2. JJ notices Reid has a thing for Emily, and tries to covertly encourage him without telling anyone else on the team what she noticed or is doing.
3. Emily's "romantic opportunity" that experienced a "slight hitch" was a fight with Reid. Random element: Emily wants to know why Reid knows what TIME she was born. (S4E14)

I'm patient. I just can't NOT share what pops into my head. I blame all of the repeats on A&E and Ion. I can't stop watching even when I've seen all of them multiple times. It's going to be interesting to see how you took my little idea and formed it into something awesome.
Established Reid/Prentiss: Emily had a bit of a crush on Hotch back when she was in college, and Reid knows about it. When he gets shot, and Hotch is in the hospital after Foyet attacked him, Reid gets insecure & jealous that Emily was with Hotch instead of him (even though he acknowledges it's a bit irrational

Some of these other ideas have been worked into a Prentiss/Reid WIP that I'm chipping away at (no, not 'Convenient People'... another one...). So, you can scratch the Mick Rawson one off the list, as well as the irrational jealousy one, annnnnnd probably the massage one too. I swaer that I'm going to finish it soon(-ish).
