Stylish Primate Spotted At Local IKEA. Needed Tealights & An Allen Key.
No word of a lie - a rhesus monkey showed up at the North York IKEA store yesterday wearing a miniature shearling coat.
Apparently, he escaped his cage in a truck in the parking lot and decided that he needed some Swedish meatballs or something. Poor little dude got scared by all of the attention he garnered and Animal Services were called to collect him. It turns out that you can't own a rhesus monkey as a pet in this province, so now he's on his way to a sanctuary where - hopefully - they'll be a little more fashion-forward...
