I love rain. I love the smell of the wet world after hot days.

I love that I just learned (from here) there's a name for the very specific sound of rain on concrete and tin rooftops. It's

Petrichor
Isn't that beautiful. It's like a draught of sweet liqueur for the soul.

It's the first true rain of the season. Yay!

Oh, how I missed the rain. :)

My writing has a tendency to come in spurts. I tend to free-write a first draft, moan over what an awful writer I am (only sometimes), put the piece aside, come back and rewrite, repeat last three steps.
