I got back into Norwich today. We didn't end up going to Bristol, but had a wonderful weekend in Slough (of all places).

Thursday we went to Windsor Great Park and walked around taking
pictures (starts with "Three Tree Colors" and goes to next page). It was my favorite kind of afternoon: wandering, climbing a tree, and enjoying the spring air. We spent some time stalking a large partridge-y looking bird with these neat, colorful markings. He would let us get so close and no closer. We also found this huge old tree that had a gigantic split-off branch resting on the ground. I tried to get up to the main part of the tree, but couldn't quite manage the slope of the limb. The lengths near the ground were great for relaxing on though and we just hung out and chatted there for a while. Afterward I took Kate out to a birthday dinner at a local Indian place.
Friday was lazy as all get out and Saturday Kate went to work while I managed to get a little essay research covered.
Sunday Kate took me out to find an abandoned building. She has this hobby of exploring around abandoned places and taking photographs. I took my camera along too and got a couple nice shots. Also figured out how to use the color accent feature on my camera. Who knew prowling around the edges of places waiting to be knocked down could be so much fun...? I'll post those pics tomorrow.
We also watched a couple movies: "Saving Grace" and "L.A. Story". Both are adorable films, but if you're going to have weed and old ladies combined or sentient electric signposts, then that's a likely outcome.
I introduced Kate to IndieFeed: Performance Poetry and she was properly impressed. I have a feeling that performance poetry is not for everyone's taste, so I was pleased that she enjoyed it. Also showed her a
"Wait, wait, don't tell me... " episode. Anyone else still listening to those? I actually hadn't for a long while, but I may have to start again.
Tired now. I've been up far too long and, now, far too late. Night all. ( :
