Out of the house . . .

It's been a busy last couple nights. The days I spent being a lazy-ass, but the nights saw me out and about. Very unusual.

Thursday my co-workers and I were treated to dinner by the shop for meeting the goal for December. We ate at the Belgian Monk. I, who never drinks beer, had two glasses of the stuff. Granted it was peach and raspberry beer, so it didn't really taste like beer. Still, I branched out and drank something other than cider for once. Yay!

Dinner was fine, nothing amazing. Although we were served the best ketchup I've ever tasted. It was rich and . . . complicated. That's the best way to describe it. It tasted more layered than ketchup generally tastes. Dessert, though, oh man. Dessert was awesome.

Dessert

Mmm . . . chocolate.

I couldn't believe some people opted out of dessert. Natasha only had tea, but her tea, or rather the milk that came with it, captivated our end of the table. 'S soooo cute.

What more is there to say?

Last night I tagged along on a birthday night out for my housemate's girlfriend's birthday. It was, eh, okay. I didn't really know anyone besides Nick and Eugenia. I spent waaay more money than I should have and danced to too slow eighties tunes. Meh.

Today I dragged myself out of bed and to Capoeira. Yay for me! I even ended up doing one round in the circle (can't remember the actual name of the space). Double yay for me! One girl was helping me at one point and I asked her to be easy on me because it was only my second class. She said she was surprised and that I was picking things up really quickly. I didn't think I was and she may have just been being nice, but hey, it was good to hear.

The rest of the day will be alternating between getting work done and screwing about on here. Whoo-hoo . . .

food, capoeira, people, work
