It's my life

La la la
I'm bored.
I'm at a temp job and all I have to do is answer the phone when it rings, and connect people to the right individual on my contact sheet. I also staple faxes and put them in a pile in a mail box.
la la la la
Basically, I'm getting paid $11 and hour to sit on my but in my pretteh businessy-work clothes and check lj, waiting and praying for someone to post something so I can read it.
Thank God this isn't what I do for a living. Although it may be soon. I'm up for a permament reception position in the Information Management Branch of the Ministry of Education, which I'm supposed to hear about. . .well, yesterday. Although hopefully when I'm not a temp they'll have typing or processing or scheduling meetings or something to do when not answering the phone. That would be good. The internet can occupy a busy person for only so long, and the government has a lot of sites blocked. Not lj, Thank God, but I'd have to start using a new email address if I wanted to get personal things at work. Hotmail is a no no at the government.
If I don't get said government job, then my placement agency has a one month position for me at the Ontario Science Centre which pays quite well. And then I'll keep looking. After this play (which opened last night, and the show is great!) I've realized I really do want to work in theatre somehow. If I have to go and apprentice to be a Stage Manager, or even work as an office admin for a theatre company, atleast I feel like I'm feeding my artistic self somehow. So I might try looking there.
