True Blood S3 x07 Quotable Quotes

Aug 05, 2010 09:22

Not too many quotes from last Sunday here, just some comments...  I am reminded of why I shouldn't "spoil" myself too much for the next episode..  It's hard to garner much enthusiasm when you pretty much know what's going to happen...

I'm going to be annoying and make a book to tv series comparison.  If I remember correctly book Sookie was shoved in the trunk of a car with a starving Bill and really through no fault of her own, is attacked quite viciously, but it seems tv Sookie's common sense has blown out the window and she places herself with a drained vampire in the back of that van...   Come on , Sookie!  Plus, she hasn't seem to have had time to think over the implications of Bill having a file on her and her family...  Hmmm.. wonder when that is going to hit the fan...

Overall, Sunday's episode was about rescues and death - a lot actually and one I was surprised by.

1.  Expected:  Sookie rescues Bill.  Lorena is killed by Sookie with (surprised by) the help of Bill.  The manner in which Lorena capitulated was just sad...  I guess she thought Bill and her would get staked together, but was unpleasantly surprised when Bill shoves her upward so the stake misses him and she dies alone.

2.  Coot is killed by Alcide in a very uneventual way, followed by an overacting Debbie who vows to hunt him down and kill him... (atleast Patrick Swayze's brother is still in the running).

3.  Hadley rescues herself as Eric ravages her throat, and Sophie-Anne sits back to let him drain her dry.  She whispers the secret in his ear.

4.  Sam changes into a pit bull with "really large balls" as described by one of the dog fighting enthusiasts, to infiltrate the dog fighting ring and rescue Tommy who was about to have his last match.  Surprisingly, Sam reveals another ability: he can talk to dogs...

5.  Sookie doesn't have a blood type and lies comatose in the hospital but Jason does (so I guess he's totally human then...)  Bill rescues her by giving her some of his blood.  This is preceded by Sookie cavorting with a bunch of "other worlders" and talks of light and dark and empty cups...  We also meet the infamous Claudine (well for those who have read the books)...

6.  Jason wants to rescue Crystal and goes to the jail to interview the captured meth dealer who says that Crystal is his cousin, but clams him mouth shut when Jason asks about her fiance, "He's my...." __________ (fill in the blank)
The dealer then demands for Crystal Meth in exchange for info which leads us into a funny scene  with Lafayette and Jason at Merlotte's.
Lafayette tells him he won't be selling any V to him. Jason replies that he's done with V.  He just needs some meth for this guy since he's in love.  Lafayette, looking quite interested and a bit hopeful, asks if Jason's become interested in men.  Jason replies he's in love with the guy's cousin.  Aw... Lafayette's disappointed....

7.  Eric rescues Pam ( I might change my mind about KB and my jealousy about her abs b/c this episode, she just looked really hungry and I wanted to feed her...) as her eyelids were about to be pierced by an earring from Tiffany's.  That made me cringe - just the thought of anything painful with the eyes, eyelids or eye balls is cringe-inducing for me.  Afterwards, Russell tortures the heck out of the magister to get him to declare that R and SA are married.  Which he does after much invoking of his belief in the one true vampire authority...   Then Russell shows us how crazy he really is and cuts the man's head off!  Everyone in the room, Pam, Eric and SA stare, aghast with their mouths open...  I guess we'll find out about the Vampire Authority next week... Although previews point to Nan...
