sooo....
i havent updated in a really really long time. the reason?.... i have come to find that every time i read lj, i tend to get mad. either at my self, at a friend, or just plain mad at the world.
one act. it was a blast. ive never been a part of something like that. its amazing to see how people, all completely different in their own ways yet sharing the same love of theatre, all rely on each other for encouragment to get through the day. we advanced. i was soo excited. i recieved a metal even though i felt like every person except me deserved it.
i had a good birthday. i got a whole bunch of things from corinne and i love them all. and i got two shirts and a trip to san antonio from my mom and dad and money from my grandparents and a gift card to old navy from justin his brother and his mom and so far thats been all. OH AND I GOT A FREAKIN ANTENNA FROM ERIC!!! UGH!!!
anyway... my trip to san antonio was fun. we got up like super duper early on thrusday and went to the airport. the flight was fine. the only problem is that my mom an i spent the whole time trying to forge 560 signatures. we only got half done. i started to panick.
then we went to this place called the henry b. gonzalez convention center. this is there they had the actual fair. the place was huge. there were 3 ballrooms and 3 halls with corridors made of glass. (just to give u an idea of how big these ballrooms and halls had about 28 fire alarms in them [i counted them while i sat through an awards ceremony that was 2 1/2 hours long]) so then i went to get checked in, that took about 25 minutes. then i went to go pick up my folder, that took about 15 minutes. then i had a violation so i had to go get that worked out (my violation was that i couldnt prove my subjects anoninity and their age [it turned out that i didnt need the signatures after all]), that took about 20 minutes. then i had to go and sit by my project until the ppl that check ur board come around. that only took and hour (which was surprising because last year it took 3). then my mom and i went to the riverwalk and got something to eat and went to the hotel because i was already sleep walking (i got four hours of sleep the night before and hadnt eatin ANYTHING until about 5, so i was freakin tired!) so we went to sleep around 8. then i heard my phone ring and i didnt want to wake up my mom so i looked at it and colin texted me. then he told me that montwood had been disqualified. so then we had a little "conversation". i thught it was about 5 in the morning and i was expecting a wakeup call. i looked over at the clock and it was 11:30 (10:30 here). that made me happy so then i went back to sleep. the next day was sooooo boring. i basicly sat there and did nothing for 5 1/2 hours just so i could present my project once. oh well, at least i wasnt in school! so then we all went to hard rock. it was really good. me and jessica ordered our drinks in these tronado glasses that we were planning on plying for but because they were on the bill, blough payed for them without even knowing (yes!). so then we all went back to the hotel and then my mom and i went to the riverwalk. by this time, it was dark so the river was beautiful and there were those guys that play those pipe things. then we went shopping and the mal wasnt all that great. the only store that they had that we didnt was aeropostale. and the only department stores they had was foleys and dillars and they were about half the size of the ones we have here.
so then after we went shopping we went back to the hotel and went to bed.
then we got up this morning and went to the awards. they gave out the special award first and those ranged from things like "best use of nanometrics" to "best statistical analysis" to "best use of photographs" (given by kodak). priscilla dna gabriel got second place for best statistics. fred rojas got 4th for best stats (which is completely understandable because HIS MOM IS THE FREAKIN TEACHER! then daniel something-or-other got an award from the army. then a team that i didnt know got another special award for something but i dont remember. then fred placed 4th, gabe and priscilla placed second and the team placed 4th.
so then we went to this german restaraunt called schilos. IT WAS GROSS!!! they served saurkraut (if u were in the foreigner, u know exacly how it loks and smells, ewww!) and someone actualy ordered it. but then we went back to the hotel and then to the airport and that was my whole trip.
oh and i saw someone who looked exacly like napoleon dynamite!
always and forever, britt~
