GWK - This is the answer of Bali to NY's Statue of liberty. However, the statue is only 1/10 completed bcos bali economic was hampered by the 2 bombings. The whole area is just huge. I guess the designer intended to make all visitors feel humble when visit this place.
2nd stop - Pura Uluwatu. This is what people have dubbed as "The end of the World" - or in chinese, slightly difference "天涯海角". Visitors are not allowed in the temple and can onl see from the outer wall. But the main attraction here is the magnificent view over the cliff and into the endless horizon. Love it.
3rd stop - Goa Gajah. Nothing much over here and the cave is so small. The tree is aesthetic though, without any leaves except red flowers in full blossom.
Later in the afternoon, we check-in to the marvellous Ubud Village Resort. This place is just so amazing. There r total of 25 villas and only 6 were occupied on the day we check-in. The tranquility and ambience is just beyonce comprehension. I can feel the efforts by the builder everywhere within the resort. Our villa comes with a private pool, 2 gazebo, 1 open bathtub and 1 outdoor shower.
Outdoor bathtub & shower and a toilet looking over a pond with fish. I actually spent more time in this toilet than usual. . . ha ha
The view of our villa by night. Very quite but a bit scary too. I got the unsecured feeling mainly due to the see-thru glass panel all around the villa. Feel like people can break in easily, so I have my tripod next to me when i sleep. Ha ha, am not a coward but better be more cautious in foreign country.
Ponds, paddy fields and more gazebos within the resort compound.
I just love the main pool. Isnt it nice? Imagine plunging yourself in during a hot afternoon. Simply amazing
Love the setting at the restaurant too. Romantic and the price is reasonable.
Simply tasty food. Yummy.
Ubud Village Resort front lobby by night. This is definitely a place to be if someone just wanna lay-back and advoid the hustling vendors and streets.
