You know, I never used to not-update LJ for huge stretches like this before.
Blame it on November; it's a terribly dreary, busy month.
RE: REAL LIFE/REAL WORLD - I've kind of made a decision on the rest-of-my-life-for-at-least-the-next-year, now that I've been sort of sitting on my ass for 4 months. I applied to some college post-graduate certificate programs a couple months back. This is something my parents feel is a step backward for me, but the rest of my family and friends seem to support me in-uh I guess fellow Canucks on the friends list might have a better idea of why this is, but in any case, the idea of me not pursuing a masters degree right away is apparently a pretty big deal to my parents.
So after some more admissions tests and waiting around, I got a deferred acceptance to Corporate Communications for September, and then I got acceptance to Human Resource Management. Bit of a pickle since the latter is a relatively lower stress, lower risk, and much more boring option, but the former is high stress, high risk, and probably much more interesting. And of course, I don't really feel THAT much passion for either one, I just wanted to do something more practical with my life.
But I made up my mind yesterday to just take the HRM one because at least even if I hate it, I'll have only wasted one year of my life, versus figuring out what to do for 9 months and then going into corporate communications (which I might also end up hating).
Hopefully it'll be okay! Not sure what it says about me when I'm making life decisions based on timing, and a seemingly inevitable contingency of me hating whatever it is I'm doing. >_>;;;
RE: ... yoga? - Yeah I don't know what to update about so let's talk about yoga? After having my family sort of in the way of my practice for a week and a half in November, it's been pretty hard to get back into it. Also because it's colder now and goddamn it's hard to convince myself to venture away from the warmth of my house. *ahem*
The first day I went back into it, I felt a bit out of it, but still able to do everything to my usual level so I pushed myself about as hard as I normally would. Of course I also went into an Ashtanga class with an instructor I like but I know is kind of "hard", so I guess I should've known better, but basically after that one class I was semi-crippled for 3 days before I could move without everything hurting >_>;
I've been kind of continually overexerting and being forced to take many days in between practices since. :D"
Last break was almost a week long. The one good thing is that usually when I take these longer breaks, I feel like I've improved more, but then because I've improved more, I push myself even harder, and then I tend to overexert >_>;;; And that is why I am recovering off a slightly busted back and some very sore limbs and abs after going to yoga yesterday. But omg I can almost get my heels on the ground in a downward dog ;_; Granted, my foot only went down when I was not pushing down as much with my upper body but still, it's something. :D?
RE: DOLL/PHOTOGRAPHY THINGS THAT MAYBE 2 PEOPLE ON F-LIST CARE ABOUT - Similar to yoga, I packed away my dolls for 2 weeks while my family was here for my graduation in November, and I haven't really bothered UN-packing them. :x Camera has been gathering a bit of dust too, but since I have a new laptop that's lacking the all-important Photoshop with which I edit the crap out of pictures, my motivation has dipped that much more.
BUT I'LL DIG THEM OUT EVENTUALLY, I'M SURE. >_>;;;
RE: POKEMON - Okay I can deal with the name Snivy, but the other ones just made me facepalm a bit. Tepig? Dude, I don't care how unevolved it is, IT STILL BREATHES FIRE. NOT EXACTLY TEPID. And like many other people who live in Canada/Ontario, all I can think about is Oshawa when I see the name Oshawott. :c BUT OH WELL I WILL COME TO LOVE THESE CRAZY NAMES.
I'm starting to think I might actually start with Tepig or Oshawott now because I know I won't have any problems getting a Snivy off of someone later, and holy shit there's a crapton of grass-types around and not many water types for once. HMMM.
Also probably going to get White, because I want me a Zekrom, goddamn. I'll be sadface about some of the version exclusives that I'll desperately want to trade for, but by the sounds of it, White Forest has a crapton of Pokemon so I guess it balances out? :D
OKAY YEAH IDK WHAT ELSE TO TALK ABOUT. SORRY FOR COMING BACK TO LJ WITH SUCH AN UNDERWHELMING UPDATE :C
