The Good Thing About Election Years

There's a remarkable thing that happens when the nation is temporarily distracted by a struggling economy, a $700B bailout, and the mother of all popularity contests: stores wait just a little bit longer to start in with the Christmas music and displays. While I generally take a stance of "put it away 'til Thanksgiving Day," I'll admit that the restraint retailers (appear to me) to have exercised this year have made me okay with walking into King Soopers today and hearing Bing Crosby.
