So. Apparently the federal government is not going to buy my story that i'm physically and mentally fit to work as a Foreign Service Officer for the State Department. According to an e-mail I received last night, it's looking very unlikely that I will be granted my medical clearance for work

And you WILL find a job. It may not be as quickly as you were hoping, but it will happen. You are super-smart and have a lot to bring to the table. Someone will see that and things will get better. About the only thing you can do right now is (after your defense, which will be AWESOME!) try to enjoy having a bit of time off. Job hunts suck, but you always have us to lean on.

At least you won't be far from DC in Morgantown... You can apply to jobs down here while you live rent-free up there... I'm sure it's only a matter of time before someone realizes how smart you are and gives you a job.
And don't feel bad for not having something already, so many of us didn't when we graduated and most of us are employed by now...Prettymuch just Chris that's still looking : )
