We gotta spend this money.

Because I can't afford to pay taxes on it, we are looking into buying a house. Probably in Georgetown, which is just a little north of Round Rock, where we used to live. That would be a 40mile drive to work for me, but they're building a big interstate from Georgetown to Killeen. We've looked at several houses online, none in person and ideally, we could get something for less money that only needs cosmetic work. Cleaning, painting, landscaping. Chris doesn't have a job so he would have LOADS of stuff to do.

We are looking at this house: http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-search?mlslid=4459359
It says 2 bedroom/ 1bath, but it's really 1 bedroom, they are calling the formal living room a bedroom. And it could be really neat depending on what the foundation and whatnot looks like. Zillow said it has a new roof and new HVAC unit. Not sure what's going on with that "workshop." It's as big as the house and 2 stories. Looks totally ghetto from the outside. We wash it, paint the trim white, stain the cabinets, do a lot of landscaping, and immediately increase it's value. Christy looked up the tax assessor's appraisal value - $250K so just upon buying it for $170K, we immediately made $80K in equity and can take loans out on that to cover a big remodel like if it needs a new kitchen. The houses around it are selling for +$300K, it's next door to a house turned into a lawyer's office. It's 5 blocks from the square, on a main street. We could sell it in 5 years and I think it's worth looking in to.

Gorgeous. Completely finished, about twice the size, beautiful house. Unique, modern, LOVE it, but whoa. Really expensive. Not sure I can afford that, but GOD it is beautiful.
