Rotation 6, Week 6.

Ok, so Chris had surgery last Tuesday, everything went fine. They did not have to explore the bone and he has been recovering well. He actually just got a job working at a call center for Sprint. I think. I'm not sure. Either way he's got this stupid schedule and works 3:30pm to Midnight. Great. First I was seeing him ALL THE TIME and now none at all. He also got a call back from a prison and they want a background check. And really - how strenuous of a background check do you need to work in a prison. Hopefully not very. Maybe they enjoy "colorful" people.

I am in my final week of Rotation 6. I cannot believe it. I have been having a great time and teaching med students all kinds of good things. They only stay around for 2 weeks, so I am constantly impressing them. In all fairness, it's not hard. I talked to Dr. T today, who was my friend in General Surgery, and told him I heard he was looking for a PA and that I was interested. He seemed receptive to it and I would love to work with him. I fit in well with the Orthopedic people personality-wise, but I think I like General Surgery more.

My next rotation is back at the VA in Murfreesboro. I originally had one lined up in Franklin with a classmate's father. He "refused" me. Now, I don't know if that's because he was going on vacation, or because his daughter was my partner when we graded papers. She graded mine fairly harshly so I returned the favor. Either way, I don't care. I get paid at the VA and my preceptor loves me AND Allison, my best PA school friend is going there too so we are gonna have loads of fun.

Oh, Nate Eppler (guy from high school) wrote a play and Rebekah Durham (girl from high school) is in it. I want to go see it. Does anyone want to come with me?

rotation, chris
